Position Summary

Oncourse is hiring a Direct Mail Marketing Manager.  Reporting to the Head of Direct Mail Strategy, this person will play a key role in driving growth by planning and executing campaigns in our largest marketing channel. We’re looking for a data-driven direct marketer to optimize and execute campaigns, develop test plans and test design, understand and report on performance, and work cross-functionally across the business to ensure successful implementation of our campaign plans. 


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


• Develop campaign recommendations to meet and exceed financial and business goals. Clearly communicate your recommendations in presentations backed up with data and assumptions. 
• Own all budgeting for your campaigns and share performance metrics with Marketing and Partnership team members. Identify under- and over-performance and work with Marketing Analytics to analyze and explain.  
• Maintain historical campaign data – volume, forecasts, response, criteria, cost, and key documents. Share post-campaign summaries with actual results, learnings, and recommendations. 
• Own all strategy documents needed to drive execution – including mail matrices, URL and phone assignments, pricing documents, etc. Partner with Marketing Operations, Production, and Creative Services to execute campaigns on-time and error-free.  
• Closely collaborate with Strategic Partnerships Group to align Direct Mail campaigns with partner strategies and creative requirements. 
• Ensure accurate artwork by working with creative teams, Operations, Strategic Partnerships, and vendors. Review creative to ensure that strategic intent and all partner, legal, and product requirements are met. 
• Recommend creative, product, and pricing tests, develop test plans that ensure accurate and statistically significant learnings, and see tests through from planning to execution to analysis.  Track performance and make recommendations based on results.

• Minimum of 3 years of proven success planning, forecasting, and direct mail campaigns.  
• Demonstrated decision-making experience utilizing data effectively to drive the desired outcomes.  
• Hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.  
• Ability to take insights from marketing analytics and create compelling arguments to support growth.  
• Proven strategic planning skills with the ability to assess risk and reward trade-offs to effectively capitalize on both current and future opportunities, and to develop successful marketing plans on a partner / market basis.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.  
• Excellent relationship building skills, especially with peers across departments and functions, and strong and effective verbal and written communication skills.  
• Self-starter, creative problem solver, persuasive, thorough, and a strong team player.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related discipline or equivalent work experience required. Master's Degree preferred.

The base pay range for this position is $90,865 - $139,500 USD Annual. The specific pay offered will depend on qualifications, experience, education and skill set. The compensation offered may also include an annual performance-based bonus, sales incentive plan or commission target.
