Job description

We're looking for people who put their innovation to work to advance our success - and their own. Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.

We are seeking a Product Line Leader for the nVent CADDY Electrical brand, a globally recognized portfolio of engineered electrical fastening solutions. This role sits at the center of the business, where success depends on influence, judgment, and commercial clarity rather than organizational control. You will work across engineering, operations, supply chain, and sales to align priorities, allocate resources, and drive sustained performance. It's a senior leadership role for someone comfortable owning outcomes in a highly matrixed, global environment.

** This is a full time, direct-hire position with a hybrid work schedule of 4 days/week on-site in Solon, OH.**

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Own full global P&L responsibility, with accountability for revenue, margin, portfolio health, and longterm growth.
  • Lead endtoend product line strategy, including product lifecycle management (PLM), portfolio simplification, SKU rationalization, and prioritization across a vast global catalog.
  • Partner closely with engineering, operations, sourcing, and supply chain leaders to influence capital allocation, investment priorities, cost structure, capacity decisions, and execution tradeoffs-without direct line authority.
  • Drive pricing strategy across regions in collaboration with sales and pricing teams, using analytics to improve margin, consistency, and governance.
  • Guide product roadmaps across sustaining engineering, targeted innovation, new product development, and go-to-market (GTM) execution, balancing nearterm performance with longerterm competitiveness.
  • Identify and evaluate adjacent markets and product opportunities within the electrical pathway, collaborating with internal engineering and manufacturing capabilities to expand the portfolio over time.
  • Serve as the senior business and product leader for product portfolio, influencing senior leadership and contributing to long-term, enterpriselevel goal setting.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of Product Managers responsible for major segments of the global business.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's (B.A. or B.S.) degree in engineering, business, or an equivalent area.
  • 12+ years of experience in engineering and/or product roles, with demonstrated growth in scope or accountability, and direct responsibility for physical, electromechanical, or hardwareenabled products within product management, product leadership, or closely related commercial product roles.
  • Proven P&L ownership or accountability for a product line or business, including pricing and profitability responsibility.
  • Proven direct people management experience, including an ability to guide and mentor a team of global Product Managers.
  • Strong analytical capability and experience applying data to pricing, portfolio simplification, and investment decisions; advanced Excel skills strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence-working effectively across engineering, operations, supply chain, sales, and marketing in an interconnected organizational environment.
  • Background in electrical, industrial, or adjacent engineered products, including industries where products are sold through distribution channels is highly valued.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, including internationally, for business-related needs.

WE HAVE:

  • A dynamic global reach with diverse operations around the world that will stretch your abilities, provide plentiful career opportunities, and allow you to make an impact every day

    • nVent is a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions. We believe our inventive electrical solutions enable safer systems and ensure a more secure world. We design, manufacture, market, install and service high performance products and solutions that connect and protect some of the world's most sensitive equipment, buildings and critical processes. We offer a comprehensive range of systems protection and electrical connections solutions across industry-leading brands that are recognized globally for quality, reliability and innovation.

  • Core values that shape our culture and drive us to deliver the best for our employees and our customers. We're known for being:

    • Dedicated to absolute integrity

    • Focused on the customer first

    • Respectful and team oriented
