Men's Ministry Welcome Desk Associate
Join the Open Door Mission team of dedicated staff who are committed to full-time ministry and breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty!
ABOUT THIS POSITION
The Garland Thompson Men's Center at Open Door Mission provides emergency services for men including basic needs such as food, shelter, and clothing, as well as life-changing programs that address the root cause of homelessness and poverty (abuse, addiction, etc.).
The welcome desk associate oversees the Men's Ministry front desk area, acting as the first contact with the public, checking bags and verifying entrants into the building.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Train all front desk students and volunteers accurately on front desk protocols and ensure that all protocols are being followed by all front desk volunteers.
  • Greet visitors/tours and notify appropriate staff.
  • Assist with uploading paperwork into Service Point.
  • Take in-coming calls and direct to the appropriate party.
  • Exemplify Jesus Christ daily, sharing the gospel or praying with others as opportunities arise.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • You have a visible relationship with Christ and regularly attend a Bible-believing church.
  • You have the ability to share the Gospel as opportunities arise.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two or more years of reception experience.
  • Two or more years of office management experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products.
