This role may be filled at either the Vice President or Director level, depending on the successful candidate's experience, qualifications, and demonstrated expertise. The responsibilities outlined below are representative of the role and may vary based on level.

The successful candidate will oversee BMO Capital Markets' Energy portfolio across both Canada and the United States, serving as a key partner to clients and internal stakeholders throughout North America. Given the cross-border nature of the portfolio, the role will require frequent travel to Houston to support client coverage, relationship development, and business growth initiatives.

Provides treasury products solutions, advice and expertise tailored to the specific needs of corporate, institutional, and government clients across the globe to manage their cash-flow and capital. Includes access to information, streamlined receivables and payables process, optimizing investments and deposits, correspondent banking, interest rate derivatives, corporate card and spend solutions.

  • Uses expertise in financial markets to cultivate relationships with new and existing clients and develop new client relationships.

  • Delivers reliable activities in instituting cross-selling initiatives to clients across all areas of the firm and transitioning them into sales.

  • Provides deal structuring expertise and additional expertise as knowledge base and needs dictate.

  • Negotiates transactions with clients on highly complex matters.

  • Identifies issues, gaps and process improvements through open communication both internally and with other bank areas, and through the monitoring of productivity against benchmarks.

  • Grows/elevates the BMO and BMO Capital Market brand with a commitment to and presence in the community.

  • Participates in industry forums and conferences to keep apprised of all industry trends, competitive insights, products and services.

  • Develops and maintains strong client relationships at all levels.

  • Interprets client strategy, anticipates changes in client needs and provides strategic/creative solutions.

  • Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Hybrid Work Arrangement: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of four (4) days per week in the office. Candidates should be comfortable working regularly from our Calgary office.
Salary:


The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $165,000 CAD. Compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's skills, experience, education, qualifications, and the level at which they are hired (Vice President or Director).
