Description

Position Summary

The Ecommerce Marketing Assistant supports and optimizes our brandsโ€™ presence across multiple online marketplaces and direct-to-consumer platforms. This role is a more advanced, independent contributor position responsible for executing and improving e-commerce strategies, analyzing performance data, and supporting growth initiatives. The Ecommerce Marketing Assistant serves as a subject-matter resource for marketplace operations, mentors junior team members as needed, and partners cross-functionally to drive sales, efficiency, and customer experience improvements.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Marketplace & Platform Management

  • Manage and optimize online marketplace accounts across all brands, including product listings, inventory controls, pricing accuracy, promotions, and order fulfillment across multiple platforms.ย 
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for day-to-day marketplace operations, identifying and resolving listing issues, suppressed products, and platform-related errors.ย 
  • Ensure accurate and timely setup of new SKUs, bundles, variations, and enhancements across all applicable marketplaces.ย 

Content Optimization & Merchandising

  • In collaboration with the marketing team, develop, optimize, and maintain high-performing product detail pages using compelling copy, enhanced content, A+ or equivalent modules, high-quality images, and SEO best practices.ย 
  • Ensure brand consistency and accuracy across all digital touchpoints.

Inventory & Fulfillment Coordination

  • Monitor inventory levels across all marketplaces and fulfillment channels, including FBA and merchant-fulfilled inventory.ย 
  • Coordinate replenishment planning with internal teams to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize stockouts, overstocks, and aged inventory.ย 
  • Partner with warehouse and operations teams to ensure accurate forecasting, inbound shipments, and timely fulfillment of customer and replacement part orders.

Leadership, Process Improvement & Advanced Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, tools, and processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.ย 
  • Stay informed on industry trends, platform updates, algorithm changes, and competitive activity, translating insights into actionable recommendations.ย 
  • Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives related to e-commerce growth and operational excellence.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.ย 
  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience in e-commerce, online marketplace management, or digital merchandising.ย 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action.ย 
  • Advanced attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.ย 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.ย 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive improvements with minimal supervision.ย 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for reporting, analysis, and forecasting.ย 
  • Experience working with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms, including storefront management, product setup, and order workflows.ย 
  • Experience with SellerCloud and major online marketplaces such as Amazon Seller and Vendor Central, Walmart, eBay, Home Depot, Loweโ€™s, Wayfair, or similar platforms.ย 
  • Familiarity with marketplace advertising tools and promotional mechanics is preferred.
