  • Billing Specialist I - Learn (Verification / Coding / Processing)
  • Billing Specialist II - Perform (One Biller)
  • Billing Specialist III - Advanced One Biller
  • Billing Auditor - Improve & Educate (and still help in production)

Position Summary:
As a Billing Specialist I, you start your journey in Billing by owning :
  • Verification - checking insurance and basic patient/contract data.
  • Coding support - supporting the coding step with accurate data and documentation checks.
  • Processing - supporting claim creation and submission steps.

You don't need previous billing experience; we will teach you. What you need is attention to detail, basic computer skills and a strong wish to learn and grow in the healthcare system. This role is a stepping stone - the expectation is that strong performers will progress towards Billing Specialist II or, over time, into more advanced roles (III, Billing Auditor, or Lead).

Essential Functions:
Depending on your assigned track (Verification / Coding support / Processing), you will:
  • Work on the Billing process using clear SOPs and checklists.
  • Review data from systems and PCRs for completeness and basic accuracy (e.g. patient details, insurance details, service dates, basic contract rules).
  • Complete your daily queue of tasks in our Billing system (Logis) and portals in a structured, timely way so queues do not build up into backlog.
  • Escalate unclear or complex cases to more experienced billers (Specialist II/III) or your Billing Manager.
  • Participate in training sessions and coaching, and actively apply feedback to improve.
