Lead Dining Excellence Across Multiple Senior Living Communities
Location: Visalia, California - In-Person / On-Site
Quail Park Communities is seeking an experienced Regional Signature Dining Director (Regional Food and Beverage Director) to provide strategic leadership for our culinary and Signature Dining programs across three senior living communities with three Cook-to-order Kitchens and a Regional Bakery.
This position is based in Visalia, California, supporting three California communities, all within the city limits of Visalia, California.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality leader who enjoys mentoring culinary teams, improving day-to-day operations, developing leaders, and enhancing the dining experiences for our residents, families and employees. This position will set the Strategic Vision for the Communities.
What You'll Do
As the Regional Director of Signature Dining, you will partner closely with on-site Community Chefs, Executive Directors, Dining Service Directors, and other community leadership to ensure every dining program reflects Quail Park Communities commitment to hospitality, quality, and resident satisfaction.
Responsibilities include:
  • Provide operational leadership for Signature Dining services across three senior living communities with five remote kitchens and one regional bakery.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop Community Chef's, Dining Directors and culinary leadership teams.
  • Conduct regular operational audits focused on food quality, service standards, sanitation, safety, regulatory compliance, and resident experience.
  • Develop action plans and provide hands-on support to improve community performance.
  • Monitor and manage food costs, labor efficiency, purchasing, and departmental budgets.
  • Standardize recipes, menus, production systems, and dining service procedures while allowing flexibility for resident preferences.
  • Report to the Vice President of Operations
  • Work alongside the Community Executive Directors to recruit, hire, onboard, and develop Community Chef's and Dining Directors.
  • Lead culinary training and continuing education programs for both front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
  • Analyze resident satisfaction and implement continuous quality improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local health department regulations.
  • Support community events, special dining experiences, and company initiatives.
  • Assist with operational coverage during leadership vacancies or extended absences when needed.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced, collaborative leader who enjoys coaching others and elevating multiple dining programs.
Qualified candidates will have:
  • Culinary degree or equivalent formal culinary training.
  • Five or more years of multi-site food service leadership.
  • Leadership experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, hotels, country clubs, or restaurants.
  • Strong financial acumen, including food cost, labor management, budgeting, and purchasing.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and developing management teams.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, health department regulations, and employment practices.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business technology.
  • Current Food Manager/Food Handler certification (or ability to obtain).
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).

Position Details
