Location: Minneapolis, MN
Duration: 6+months (Possibility of extension)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Business Title: Sr. Inspector
Business Unit: Neuro Quality
POSITION DESCRIPTION:

As part of the Neuromodulation Receiving Inspection Team, support supplier quality assurance inspection activities related to Neuromodulation product to assure conformance to all dimensional requirements and quality specifications

Provide technical inspection and testing in a lab environment for production components as received from the supplier.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities should show the key accountabilities for the role.

Inspect In-Process Materials to determine if dimensional requirement meet established specifications such as size, quality and overall appearance.

Utilize the full complement of fundamental metrology devices including toolmakers microscope and basic hand tools to determine if workmanship and dimensional requirements meet established specifications.

Fill out appropriate history cards and electronic data, accurately documenting all inspection findings using established departmental systems.

Work closely with engineering on inspection process development and improvement.

Work closely with the Chemical Technologies group on parts that are submitted for tests.

Train new employees when needed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Able to work with close tolerance piece parts and gages +/- .0001.

Able to interpret and work from engineering drawings.

Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT)

Proficient in the use of basic hand tools for dimensional inspection

Proficient in the use of Toolmakers Microscope

Able to work on multiple projects.

Team player, good communication skills.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:

High school diploma/GED
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

5 years previous dimensional inspection experience
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

Medical industry inspection required.

The employee is also required to interact with a computer, and communicate with peers and co-workers.
