Job Description
T. Baker Smith is searching for a highly motivated and experienced Laser Scanning Technician for our Industrial Measurement Group to assist with ongoing and exciting upcoming projectsout of our Stafford, Texas office.
Your Opportunity:
  • Perform dimensional high-definition field surveys for laser scanning projects.
  • Processing of point cloud data which includes registration, geo-referencing, as-built modeling, and plan preparation.
  • This position will support data acquisition in the field and perform high-definition laser scanning in field operations, in addition to preparing drawings in the office.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience working with Trimble Real Works, Avena LFM / Point Cloud Manager, Leica Cyclone software.
  • Ability to operate various models of Laser Scanners (Faro, Z&F, Trimble).
  • Ability to operate survey total stations (Leica).
  • Ability to operate AutoCAD and other related computer software.
  • Self-motivated, exceptional attention for detail, excellent communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in field, supporting high-definition laser scanning operations.
  • Flexibility to change tasks and perform simultaneous tasks.
  • Dimensional Control Surveying knowledge, experience and skills a plus.
