Job description

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As the Cardiology Physician Assistant (PA), you will join the thriving Dignity Health Medical Group - Sequoia (https://www.commonspirit.org/physician-enterprise/dignity-health-sequoia-medical-group) team in Redwood City, playing a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care. You will work in close partnership with a distinguished group of five established cardiologists.

You will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiology services at our Sequoia Hospital campus. This role offers the opportunity to work both inpatient and outpatient. You will benefit from a highly supportive environment where the physicians are readily available for consultation and collaboration.

To be successful in this role, you will be a patient, skilled, and adaptable Cardiology PA seeking a fulfilling career with excellent work-life balance with no after-hours or weekend call.

  • Provide high-quality clinical support, splitting time on inpatient hospital rounding and outpatient clinic responsibilities (50/50).

  • Manage the cardiology service line, including daily rounds, admission H&Ps, cardiology consults, and discharge summaries.

  • Coordinate care for complex patients, including pre/post-procedure care for TAVR, Heart Failure processes, and cardiac imaging programs.

  • Collaborate closely with our five supervising physicians, providing a high level of autonomy while ensuring continuity of care.

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Board-certified Physician Assistant (PA)

  • Active or eligible license in the state of California

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills

  • 1+ years of recent relevant experience preferred
