Job description

Make a meaningful difference every day. We help families navigate life's most important moments with compassion, dignity, and exceptional care. We're looking for Funeral Home Assistants to become part of our dedicated team.
This part-time, on-call position is ideal for retirees or individuals with backgrounds in law enforcement, firefighting, EMS, healthcare, or anyone with a heart for serving others. No prior funeral service experience is required. As the team grows, an on-call schedule will be made.

Must be:

  • Respectful
  • Detail-Oriented
  • Good at following directions
  • Reliable
  • Punctual

Positions Rquirements:

  • Part-time position; on a call-in basis as needed
  • Obtain a valid driver's license and an accident-free driving record
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs

A funeral home assistant will assist the funeral directors:

  • Every candidate will be trained for this position
  • Must be able-bodied, able to stand for long periods as needed; and at times do somewhat physically demanding work
  • Will be working funerals and visitations in the funeral home, churches, other gathering places and cemeteries
  • Responsible for transportation with funeral vehicles, both locally and out of town
  • Other errands and side jobs as needed (i.e. washing funeral vehicles, picking up death certificates, etc)
  • As the team grows, an on-call schedule will be made
