Digital Services Infrastructure AnalystReporting to the Manager, IT Infrastructure, the Digital Services Infrastructure Analyst is highly skilled and has extensive experience in managing and supporting Infrastructure, including server and storage systems, virtualization technologies, network infrastructure and security systems. They are responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our IT infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, security, and availability.
This position is based in our Edmonton, AB office and offers an opportunity to learn and grow your career within the Digital Services field.What You Will Be Working On

Server Management

  • Working with the IT team, to design, install, configure, tune, and optimize use of the Server infrastructure and related components.

  • Monitoring systems and responding to operational incidents.

  • Planning, testing, and executing upgrades as necessary.

  • Performing system backups and recovery.

  • Conducting server builds and compliance testing.

  • Formulating, documenting, and updating standard procedures for system administration.

  • Administration and design of backup systems.

Network Management

  • Working with the IT team, to design, install, configure, tune, and optimize use of the Network infrastructure and related components.

  • Monitoring systems and responding to incidents.

  • Planning, testing, and executing upgrades as necessary.

  • Site configuration, monitoring, and deployment.

Capacity Planning

  • Installing operating system software, patches, and upgrades.

  • Participating in the development of KPIs for Infrastructure availability.

  • Ensuring server, network infrastructure maintained and designed to provide high performance of business applications.

Availability Management

  • Ensuring integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data.

  • Planning, documenting, and testing appropriate infrastructure-related disaster recovery and/or business continuity systems.

  • Maintaining and supporting the messaging infrastructure to achieve high availability and performance.

  • Identifying areas for enterprise-wide system improvements and upgrades, including trending analysis and capacity planning.

  • Team building and coaching for operational teams.

Technical Proficiency

  • Ability to use and understand the functionality of various IT programs and systems, including, but not limited to:

  • Windows Server 2016, 2019 & 2022

  • Active Directory, Entra ID

  • Dell Hardware, Including VxRail

  • SAN\NAS; HPE Server Hardware Experience, including Proliant

  • Security Technologies such as firewall, network access control, and detection systems; Familiarity with CrowdStrike Falcon and Fortinet is an Asset

What We Are Looking For
  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in Computer Science

  • Relevant certifications (CCNA, MCSE, VCP, CISSP, etc) preferred

  • 5+ years' experience working in Information Technology roles and industry

  • Experience working in a diverse, multi-branch environment, with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Technologies

  • Proven commitment to customer service and ITIL best-practice processes

  • Assertive, self-motivated, and goal oriented

  • Significant experience with Hybrid Active Directory, Microsoft Entra, Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure

  • Significant experience with complex High Availability enterprise services with a focus on Remote Access

  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash

  • Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

  • On-Call support commitments

  • Flexible and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously; meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment
