Job description

Job Summary
As a Senior Digital Writer at Ologie, you’ll combine strong conceptual thinking, sharp writing instincts, and solid agency experience to create work across digital platforms, media channels, and campaign touchpoints.
You’re as comfortable writing a six-word billboard as you are building a social story, crafting a batch of display ads, developing search copy, or refining the content of a website. You know how to find the creative opportunity inside constraints. You look for the fresh angle, unexpected structure, or sharper turn of phrase that makes the work feel distinct.
You’re comfortable in a fast-moving environment where timelines may shift, requests may arrive quickly, and large client relationships require agility and responsiveness. You can move between assignments, prioritize effectively, and produce strong work at speed without sacrificing craft or strategy. You work well independently and take ownership of your work and your duties proactively.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
  • Translate media strategies into brand-aligned copy across digital channels, including social, display, search, out-of-home, landing pages, web, email, video, audio, and campaign materials.
  • Find fresh creative angles within constrained formats, generating distinct concepts, language, and structures.
  • Manage multiple projects and high-volume asset batches efficiently, adapting to compressed timelines, shifting priorities, and the needs of always-on client relationships.
  • Collaborate closely with writers, designers, strategists, media teams, account leads, and creative leadership to develop cohesive work and strengthen campaign concepts, content strategy, and narrative direction.
  • Incorporate creative direction and client feedback through thoughtful, timely revisions that demonstrate strong judgment, responsiveness, accuracy, and attention to craft.
To be successful in this role, our preference is that you:
  • Have 4 or more years of professional writing experience, ideally in an agency, in-house brand, media, advertising, or integrated marketing environment.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, original ideas, polished writing, and range across formats and channels.
  • Experience writing for digital and media channels, including social, display, search, out-of-home, landing pages, video, email, and other performance-driven channels.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a sharp eye for clarity, rhythm, consistency, and detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple assignments, work efficiently under compressed timelines, and adapt to shifting priorities without sacrificing craft.
  • Strong initiative, organization, and communication skills, including the ability to work independently, solve problems, apply feedback, and proactively communicate progress.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with experience partnering across disciplines and articulating creative concepts and rationale to internal teams.
You’ll stand out to us if you:
  • Have proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides).
  • Have experience in higher education, healthcare, nonprofit, or cause-driven marketing is a plus.
More Important Details
  • This role reports to the associate digital creative director.
  • Ologie is a remote-friendly organization, with employees working from home, from our Columbus, Ohio office, or a combination of both. For this role, candidates must be located in the greater Columbus, Ohio area, or in the Eastern or Central time zones.
  • The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000. Your final salary will be determined based on your training, relevant experience, and location.
  • Ologie offers a comprehensive benefit package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance; company-sponsored life and disability insurance; optional life insurance; mental health support; and a 401(k) profit-sharing plan with a company match. Paid time off includes your own flexible personal time, along with paid holidays throughout the year, including a holiday break (typically up to six days) at the end of December. We also offer a flextime work schedule.
  • Ologie is a 100 percent employee-owned company (ESOP).
  • Ologie is an equal-opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees, as we respect and seek to empower each individual and support the various cultures, perspectives, skills, and experiences within our workforce.
About Ologie
Ologie is a marketing and branding agency built for mission-driven organizations. We do this with breakthrough creative work, emotional storytelling, a digital-first mindset, and targeted marketing strategies — all working together to drive tangible results and change lives.
