Job description

Role Overview

The Store Leader is the CEO of their four walls, acting as a proactive business owner who leads with a Day One Mentality. You are responsible for driving profitable growth, protecting the brand's fiscal health, and cultivating a high-performing team of Multipliers. You balance the art of Enlightened Hospitality with the science of P&L Mastery, ensuring that even in your absence, every team member is empowered to drive the same high-level results and excellence that you do. You are a resourceful leader who thrives in navigating Complexity, guiding the business with grit, authenticity, and a Power of Positivity.

Core Pillars of Ownership1. People Leadership & Cultural Stewardship (#AllTogether)
  • Servant Leadership: Lead with the philosophy that taking care of your team is the first step in taking care of the guest. Foster an environment of psychological safety where every voice matters and courageous feedback is the norm.
  • Talent Curation & Multiplication: Actively source and curate a diverse community of talent. Maintain a constant state of recruitment by cultivating a Talent Portfolio of high-potential prospective candidates. You are responsible for identifying high-potential "bench" talent and preparing them for their next step to support brand growth. Your success is measured by your team's ability to replicate your high-level results when you are not in the building.
  • Coaching through Complexity: Lead through ambiguity with a firm point of view. Conduct a regular cadence of structured one-on-one sessions with every team member. You lead with constant real-time feedback, demonstrating high-functioning resourcefulness and resolute decision-making, even when scenarios aren't black and white.
2. Merchant Excellence & Styling Obsession (#AlwaysInnovate)
  • Product & Styling Obsession: Act as the ultimate Brand Ambassador by modeling the Faherty style guide. Foster a team culture that is obsessed with product knowledge, fabrication, and outfitting.
  • Tech Fluency: Demonstrate mastery and adaptability across all retail platforms and digital tools. Use technology to streamline operations and enhance the guest journey.
  • Visual Strategy: Leverage visual standards as a key operational lever. Ensure the floor layout and product placement are optimized to drive UPT and AOV, translating brand directives into a localized success story that maximizes sell-through.
  • Operational Stewardship: You maintain a store that is "Grand Opening Ready" every day. This includes meticulous floor maintenance, a "no-compromise" approach to back-of-house organization, operational excellence, and total inventory integrity.
  • Asset Protection & Safety: Maintain "Timeless" standards through rigorous audits and shrinkage control to protect the store's physical assets and fiscal health. Lead with a safety-first mentality, ensuring the well-being of your team and guests. Champion the store's Loss Prevention strategy, training the team on proactive shortage reduction and ensuring all safety compliance standards are met or exceeded.
3. Strategic Business Ownership & P&L Mastery (#DayOneMentality)
  • Executive Presence: Maintain a professional, composed, and influential presence. You are expected to model the Faherty core values and lead by example in every interaction with the team, guests, and HQ partners.
  • Review Readiness: You must maintain a constant state of readiness, able to articulate your store's performance and your team's development through data-driven results to HQ partners with clarity and impact.
  • Fiscal Roadmap: You analyze and interpret Profit and Loss (P&L) reports as a strategic roadmap for your business, identifying specific levers that directly impact the bottom line including, but not limited to: margin protection, payroll efficiency, shrink control, and expense management.
  • Data-Driven Pivot: Use merch reporting and analytics to validate your intuition. Pivot your business strategy based on performance insights rather than reacting solely to daily foot traffic.
4. Enlightened Hospitality & Advanced Clienteling (#PowerOfPositivity)
  • The Relational Selling Methodology: Lead the team in the masterful execution of the brand's selling model. You are responsible for ensuring that every guest interaction is grounded in authentic connection, utilizing specific lifestyle discoveries to move beyond a transactional experience and build long-term loyalty
  • Strategic Client Insights & Data Integrity: Maintain the highest standard for guest data capture. You are responsible for ensuring that the team records robust, detailed guest profiles within our clienteling platform. Every interaction must be documented with specific, actionable insights-including a minimum of three unique lifestyle facts-to ensure every follow-up is personalized and high-impact.
  • Relational Outreach Cadence: Drive a disciplined, high-volume outreach strategy. You are expected to consistently hit or exceed company engagement goals by implementing a rigorous system of team accountability. You must ensure that every associate is not only meeting outreach targets but is doing so with the quality and intentionality required to grow their individual book of business.
  • Clienteling ROI: Drive measurable revenue through digital engagement. You must analyze outreach data to ensure a high Repeat Client Rate and meet specific dollar-generated targets, ensuring the team is leveraging every guest insight to drive predictable, long-term growth.
  • Omnichannel Ownership: Treat the digital business (SFS/BOPIS) with the same urgency as the physical floor, ensuring a seamless "customer-first" approach.
5. Community Integration & External Impact (#Timeless)
  • Market Ambassadorship: Serve as the primary face of the brand within your community, consistently looking beyond the four walls to identify high-impact networking and hyper-local engagement opportunities. Build and leverage a robust local ecosystem of partners, business owners, community leaders, and influencers. Position the store as a central neighborhood hub and a local bridge for our wholesale partners, ensuring Faherty's brand standards extend to our specialty accounts within the territory.

Strategic Event Planning & Execution: Curate brand-elevating experiences designed to reach new audiences. You are responsible for the end-to-end strategy of in-store and off-site activations, ensuring every event aligns with our Enlightened Hospitality standards and brand aesthetic, and is a deliberate driver of measurable additional traffic. Every event carries a strict ROI requirement. You are held accountable for the "Sky's the Limit" mentality of guest acquisition, ensuring that every event creates a surge in store energy and footfall.

Data-Driven ROI & Performance Reporting: Every event carries a strict ROI requirement. You are responsible for tracking and reporting on specific performance indicators, including:

    • Sales Impact: Direct revenue generated during and post-event.

    • New Guest Acquisition: The number of first-time shoppers introduced to the brand.

    • Data Capture Excellence: Quality and quantity of new client profiles added to the database.

    • Conversion of Attendees: Ability to move event attendees into the Appointment Business pipeline.

  • Brand Evolution & Strategic Contribution: Act as a key stakeholder in the brand's global growth. You are expected to look beyond your own four walls by leading stretch assignments, participating in cross-functional task forces, and providing field-level insights that influence how Faherty operates. Your leadership is measured not only by your store's performance but by your ability to contribute to the scalable evolution of our fleet-wide standards and internal programs.
Leadership Profile & Expectations
  • The ADAPT Mindset: You embody our core values: Always Innovate, Day One Mentality, All Together, Power of Positivity, and Timeless.
