Electrical Service Division Manager

Location: Ocala, FL (On‐Site)

Schedule: Primarily Monday–Friday
Compensation: ~$85,000+ depending on experience; company truck provided; full benefits; bonus eligible; possible relocation assistance if needed

About the Role

A growing and reputable electrical contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Service Division Manager to lead and expand our commercial and residential service operations. This person will oversee a team of 10-20 employees, ensuring exceptional customer service, technical excellence, and efficient operations.

This role is ideal for someone with strong commercial electrical expertise, deep code knowledge, and the ability to create structure, accountability, and long‐term growth within a service division. You’ll partner closely with leadership to elevate customer experience, drive new service opportunities, and improve internal systems and processes.

What You’ll Do

Leadership & Operations

  • Lead, develop, and support a team of service electricians, apprentices, and office administrators
  • Manage scheduling, dispatching, work quality, and service workflows
  • Oversee daily operations for commercial‐focused service work, with some residential oversight
  • Ensure accurate job costing, inventory tracking, and proper customer billing
  • Improve team accountability around processes, documentation, and service standards

Customer Service & Business Growth

  • Build strong relationships with clients, GC partners, inspectors, and vendors
  • Drive a service‐oriented culture focused on quality, professionalism, and referral‐based growth
  • Coach the team on customer engagement (asking for additional work, identifying opportunities, offering solutions, etc.)
  • Support departmental growth in partnership with leadership, identifying ways to increase revenue and expand service offerings

Technical Expertise

  • Provide guidance on troubleshooting, testing, and complex commercial electrical issues
  • Serve as a technical resource and escalation point for field techs
  • Perform code reviews, quality checks, and meet with inspectors as needed
  • Understand and support NFPA 70/National Electrical Code (NEC) standards

On‐Call Responsibilities

  • Handle intake for emergency service calls (typically 1–2 per week)
  • Assign and dispatch on‐call technicians appropriately

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • Strong background in commercial electrical service
  • Ability to read blueprints, interpret codes, and support technical troubleshooting
  • Experience supervising electricians or managing a service team
  • Highly organized, systems‐minded, and comfortable with digital tracking tools
  • Customer‐focused mindset with the ability to coach others
  • Stable work history (not seeking job hoppers)
  • No specific licensure required

Preferred

  • Prior experience managing or growing an electrical service department
  • Experience in both residential and commercial service
  • Familiarity with inventory management, dispatching tools, and service software
  • Comfort interacting with inspectors and identifying code‐related issues

Work Environment

  • 80% office / 20% field
  • Collaborative leadership environment — we value honesty, quality work, and doing things the right way
  • Not a high‐pressure or “salesy” environment — we focus on integrity, craftsmanship, and long‐term customer relationships

Benefits & Perks

  • Competitive salary ($85k+ depending on experience)
  • Company truck with fuel/maintenance covered
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Annual performance bonus
