Job description

Job Summary:

Title: Content ID & Rights Manager (Distribution)

Location: New York, NY (Full-Time, On-Site)

The Role:

Roc Nation Distribution is seeking a Content ID & Rights Manager to oversee the organization, distribution, and optimization of our catalog of digital content across platforms. This role will be pivotal in protecting our content, managing rights, and optimizing workflows for efficient rights management.

The Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity of our catalog and content distribution on YouTube. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, with a strong understanding of digital music distribution and content management best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Digital Rights Management: Proactively monitor and enforce Roc Nation's content ownership on YouTube, safeguarding digital rights across our catalog

  • Metadata Quality Assurance: Oversee asset imports, conducting meticulous quality checks to maintain accurate metadata

  • Support and Resolution: Serve as a primary contact for internal teams and partners, resolving content-related issues quickly and effectively

  • Dispute and Conflict Resolution: Manage all YouTube-related disputes, ensuring fair and efficient resolution across Roc Nation's catalog

  • Reporting: Generate and analyze KPI and performance reports for the Distribution and Publishing teams, highlighting insights for continuous improvement

  • Compliance and Policy Adherence: Ensure all content management activities comply with YouTube's policies and guidelines

  • Workflow Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance current workflows, implementing process improvements and automation where possible

  • Stay updated on industry trends, changes in platform requirements, and content management innovations to continuously improve processes

  • Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Music Business, Digital Media, or a related field

  • 4+ years of experience in digital content management, preferably within the music or entertainment industries

  • Experience with YouTube's Content Management System (CMS) and Content ID system

  • Strong understanding of digital music distribution, DSP platforms, and content management best practices

  • Proficiency with content management systems (CMS) and familiarity with metadata standards for music and video content

  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects within tight deadlines

  • Excellent communication skills, with experience collaborating across departments and working with external partners

  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven recommendations

  • Passion for music and entertainment, with a proactive approach to staying informed on industry trends

  • Familiarity with Airtable and YouTube certified is a plus

The expected compensation for this position is:

$72,000.00 USD - $90,000.00 USD
