Enlightened Essence Counseling Center is seeking a full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor to provide comprehensive therapeutic support to our diverse clientele. • Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to identify clients’ mental health concerns, formulate accurate clinical diagnoses, and establish effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Provide personalized therapy sessions including individual, couples, family, and group therapy utilizing evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care.
• Offer timely crisis intervention to support clients facing acute mental health issues, ensuring they receive appropriate care and guidance during urgent situations.
• Maintain meticulous, confidential records of client interactions including treatment plans, progress notes, and assessments according to ethical guidelines and legal standards.
• Collaborate actively with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers, to coordinate comprehensive care and ensure optimal client outcomes.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health topics, treatment strategies, and community resources, advocating for clients’ needs and rights as necessary.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through training, workshops, and peer supervision to maintain current knowledge of best practices in psychotherapy and mental health.

Our clientele ranges widely, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. • Current licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C) in the state of Maryland.
• Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic capabilities to identify client needs effectively.
• Minimum of two years of relevant work experience in a mental health setting.
• Demonstrated excellence in communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to ethical practice and maintaining professional standards in all aspects of care.

• Experience working with a diverse client population and familiarity with various therapeutic approaches is preferred, although not strictly required for entry-level roles.
• Prior experience in an outpatient setting is advantageous, but we value diversity in backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 85,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a variety of benefits designed to support your health and wellness.
