Job description

Now Hiring - Digital Radiography Product Specialist

Location: Houston, TX

The DR Product Specialist is a highly skilled expert in servicing digital radiography (DR) equipment. This role involves a deep understanding of the technical aspects of x-ray machines, including their components, operation, and maintenance. The specialist must also be involved in troubleshooting, repairs, and providing support or training for other technicians or users of the equipment. Installs and services all company DR Systems products both nationally and occasionally internationally. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by assisting clients effectively and providing expert technical and business guidance. Supports field service, sales, applications, and technical support teams with a comprehensive understanding of all assigned products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel nationally for company business.
  • Using established company guidelines, perform on-site installation, preventative maintenance, routine repair and calibration of company’s products and equipment.
  • Serves as customer contact on technical and service-related problems.
  • Assists Field Service Engineers and technical support agents at all expertise levels.
  • Isolates equipment malfunctions and takes corrective action. • Trains customer personnel in equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Represents company in dealings with customers.
  • Prepares daily logs and reports of work performed.
  • Assigned projects that are diverse in problem solving.
  • Report manufacturing problems to the DR Systems Service Manager, R&D, and Compliance.
  • Assists dealers with installations and escalated service events.
  • Works with the Training department to provide in person training on DR systems as needed.

Education:

Bachelors degree or technical education.

Work Experience:

5 to 7 years’ experience in X-ray installation and/or repair is preferred. Must be able to read and understand electrical and electronic schematics.

Travel Requirements:

75% domestic travel.
