The Role
As a Project Manager Staff, you'll play a critical role in coordinating the day-to-day execution of residential solar projects from initiation through completion. Working closely with the Project Manager Lead, you'll ensure projects stay on schedule by managing timelines, maintaining accurate documentation, coordinating with internal departments, and serving as a key point of communication for customers, subcontractors, and external partners.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, excels at keeping multiple projects organized, and takes pride in solving problems before they impact project delivery. You'll help drive operational efficiency by ensuring every project milestone is tracked, communication remains clear, and customers receive a seamless experience throughout their solar journey.
What You'll Be Doing

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, providing timely updates and delivering an exceptional customer experience throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Partner with Engineering, Field Service, Customer Service, Operations, subcontractors, and external partners to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Prepare, maintain, and update project documentation, permits, customer records, and internal systems with a high level of accuracy.
  • Coordinate permit submissions, HOA approvals, inspections, and other project requirements while following up to minimize delays.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and escalate issues when necessary to support on-time project completion.
  • Prepare project status reports and maintain accurate records to provide visibility into project performance and upcoming milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with company processes, quality standards, and documentation requirements throughout every phase of the project.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvements by identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, improve communication, and enhance the customer experience.
  • Support the Project Manager Lead with daily operational activities and collaborate with team members to ensure successful project delivery across a high-volume portfolio.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Experience coordinating with internal teams, vendors, subcontractors, or external stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and project records.
  • Ability to identify issues proactively and work collaboratively to resolve them.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and experience using CRM or project management platforms.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining accountability and meeting deadlines.
