Job description

We are looking for a highly organized Project Manager with solid communication skills. A PM who is experienced in leading cross-organization project teams toward targeted and scheduled outcomes in an IT environment.

Responsibilities:

  • ย Successful management of medium-large sized projects from initiation through closure
  • ย Deliver the projectโ€™s primary end result within scope, budget, and on schedule
  • ย Continually report on project progress, updates on issues, and identified risks to project stakeholders
  • ย Work closely with the Program Manager and Project Sponsor to identify and satisfy project needs
  • ย Report on status of progress, issues, and risks
  • ย Facilitate team meetings; logistics (e.g. scheduling, agendas), keeping on agenda, capturing meeting decisions and actions, and managing meeting processes
  • ย Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, resource assignments, and project plans
  • ย Management of secondary projects that involve the maturity of the PMO and other groups under guidance from the Program Manager/PMO
  • ย Interface regularly with team members, working primarily with the PMO and other teams
  • ย Maintain high quality project hygiene (project artifacts, records, reports, metadata, etc.)
  • ย Track and report metrics
  • ย Manage administrative activities for the supporting team.

Qualifications:

  • ย 5+ years of project management experience on projects with full-time employees, internal and external vendors
  • ย Knowledge/background in data center infrastructure and operations
  • ย Possess strong cross team/group/org collaboration skills; ability to foresee and analyze project risks, develop risk management plan and mitigate subsequent issues
  • ย High-powered analytical skills and the ability to understand concepts and articulate situations that pass by many others
  • ย Excellent verbal and written communications skill
  • ย Highly organized and detail oriented
  • ย Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and Project Professional.
  • ย Formal training or certification in project management methodologies (PMI, Agile, etc.)
