Job description

Job Title: Technical Project Manager - Solutions Division
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Remote - United States (Seattle area preferred)
Industry: Technology Consulting / Digital Services
About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to join Kopius' Solutions Division and join the delivery of a broad portfolio of client engagements across cloud, data, application modernization, design, and digital transformation work. As part of the Solutions Division, you'll collaborate across a diverse set of teams - design, engineering, data, architecture, sales, and account management - and partner directly with clients to bring complex, multi-discipline engagements to life. No two projects look the same: one quarter you might be running a cloud platform modernization, the next a custom application build, the next a digital product launch.
You'll own the delivery lifecycle across multiple concurrent projects - from proofs of concept through production implementations - keeping specialist teams aligned, unblocked, and accountable to scope, budget, and timeline. This is a client-facing role central to how Kopius delivers across the full spectrum of modern cloud platforms, data ecosystems, and digital products.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own project schedules, milestones, budgets, and delivery plans across one or more concurrent engagements
  • Lead cross-functional teams spanning design, engineering, data, BI/reporting, and architecture, and coordinate client stakeholders across data, infrastructure, application, and security groups
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Account Management on project health, client communications, and expansion opportunities
  • Run delivery cadence: stand-ups, status reporting, stakeholder updates, and steering communications
  • Manage scope, change requests, dependencies, risks, assumptions, and issues throughout each engagement
  • Coordinate partner/vendor inputs on architecture, capacity, governance, and licensing across the relevant cloud ecosystems
  • Lead kickoff and planning, including scoping, estimation, and resource alignment with practice leads across the Solutions Division
  • Own deliverable quality and packaging - documentation, findings, recommendations, and roadmaps
  • Collaborate with peers across the Solutions Division to share learnings, reusable assets, and delivery patterns across engagements
  • Contribute to delivery process improvement, estimation accuracy, and PMO standards over time
  • Support pre-sales and SoW scoping with practice and account teams as needed
Basic Qualifications
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable operating in fast-paced consulting delivery environments
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working with partial information - strong investigative and self-starter mindset
  • Thrives in collaborative, multicultural teams while maintaining strong individual ownership
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong sense of accountability and delivery ownership
Technical Requirements
  • 5+ years managing technical/software or data delivery projects in a consulting or client-facing setting
  • Track record delivering both fixed-scope and longer-running engagements on time and budget
  • Experience managing projects across multiple disciplines - engineering, design, data, and product
  • Strong stakeholder management across technical, business, and creative audiences
  • Working fluency in cloud and data delivery concepts (data platforms, ETL/pipelines, BI, application modernization) sufficient to manage technical dependencies credibly
  • Familiarity with at least one major cloud ecosystem (AWS, Azure, GCP, or equivalent)
  • Excellent risk, dependency, and communication management skills
  • Nice to have: Hands-on delivery experience across multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience managing custom software, application modernization, or digital product engagements
  • Nice to have: Experience taking PoC/MVP work through to production roadmaps and implementation
  • Nice to have: PMP, Agile/Scrum, or equivalent certification
Things to keep in mind!
  • Location: This is a remote role within the United States. We have a strong preference for candidates based in the Seattle area, given the team's hub location and occasional in-person collaboration with clients and team members.
  • Compensation: $133,025 - $179,975 / year. Individual pay within the posted range is determined by multiple factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
  • Work Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship, transfer, or extension of work authorization now or in the future.
  • Equal Opportunity: We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity and inclusion at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, marital status, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic under federal, state, or local law.
About You | At Kopius, we value individuals who embody our core values:
  • Community and Connection: Foster team connection; contribute to a collaborative environment.
  • Exceptional Experiences: Strive for outstanding communication experiences; align actions with delivering excellence.
  • Embrace New Ideas: Demonstrate openness to innovation; adapt and learn quickly.
  • Ownership Mentality: Take responsibility and ownership of tasks and projects; drive issues to resolution.
  • Walk the Talk: Consistently align actions, communication, and problem-solving with company values.
