Position Title Director of Campus Engagement Job Type Full Time - 12 months Division Student Affairs Department Campus Engagement Job Location Crete, NE (68333) Position Summary
The Director of Campus Engagement provides leadership, strategic vision, and planning for a comprehensive portfolio of programs and services that drive co-curricular involvement for all Doane University students.
The Director supports the mission of the institution and the Division of Student Affairs; promotes an active co-curricular experience for both residential (Crete campus) and nonresidential students (Lincoln campus); fosters the development of student organizations, their individual members and advisors; contributes to student leadership development and connection to the larger Doane community, and; must possess a broad and deep understanding of national best practices and innovations to promote a robust co-curricular experience. The Director collaborates with multiple campus and community partners on all campuses to achieve these outcomes.

FLSA Salaried (Exempt) Salary $53,000 - $58,000 Minimum Required Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree in Student Affairs, education, counseling, or a closely related field, plus 3-5 years of full-time professional experience in one or more of the following areas within a college/university or educational setting: Student Affairs, campus engagement, event management, counseling, advising students.
Experience must also include:
  • Supervisory experience
  • Experience advising student organizations and the development of training and policies to support student organization success.

Success in this position also requires:
  • Demonstrated financial management skills and the ability to develop and manage budgets.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including: public speaking; listening; writing, including the ability to write comprehensive reports.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build positive working relationships with a diverse population of constituents, including but not limited to students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to work on multiple tasks at once.
  • Technology savvy, including community engagement platforms, leveraging branding and social media marketing strategies relevant to student engagement in the digital marketplace.
  • Self-starter and change-oriented.
  • Must be able to work effectively with high-energy college students.
