What is a digital product owner?

A Digital Product Owner is responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and features of a digital product, such as a website or app. They act as a bridge between business stakeholders, customers, and development teams to ensure the final product meets user needs and business objectives. The role involves prioritizing features, managing the product backlog, and making decisions about product development throughout its lifecycle. Digital Product Owners use data, feedback, and market research to inform their decisions and drive continuous improvement.

How does a digital product owner typically collaborate with cross-functional teams during a product development cycle?

You'll be responsible for clearly communicating the product vision and priorities, maintaining a well-groomed backlog, and ensuring all team members understand the requirements and goals. Regular collaboration occurs through agile ceremonies like sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and reviews, where you provide feedback and make decisions to keep the project aligned with business objectives.
