Leads product impact analysis for the Digital Member Hub (DMH), including Login, Registration, Preferences, and related capabilities. Partners closely with product management and cross-functional teams to define measurement strategies, synthesize VOC insights, and identify trends across the portfolio. Delivers strategic insights and recommendations, proactively guiding product decisions and influencing roadmap priorities to improve member experience and performance.

The strong preference for this role is to be hybrid to the Columbus, OH offices but remote considerations will be made.

As a Consultant, you'll collaborate and coordinate efforts across multiple agile teams and across several lines of business responsible for creating digital products and solutions that are practical and useable. We'll count on you to ensure priorities and project goals are achieved.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts detailed customer and company product impact analysis across a variety of digital products, business lines and competitor sets. Provides Product Managers and Product Owners with recommendations based on analysis and insights.

  • Plans and coordinates usability research and analyzes results with the Digital Product Manager/Owner and partners with User Experience to create prototypes and conduct user testing.

  • Conducts competitive analysis on customer digital product landscape and business segment specific competitors across multiple lines of business and experiences. Presents findings and recommendations to Product Managers and/or Product Owners.

  • Conducts current state business landscape analysis including people, process, technology assessments plus future state business analysis across multiple lines of business, products, experiences and/or audiences. Provides recommendations to the Product Manager and/or Product Owner and agile team.

  • Keeps up on the latest digital trends as well as customer needs and behaviors.

  • Acts as a source of expertise for direction, mentoring and guidance for less experienced Product Analysts.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Director, Digital Product Management. This is an individual contributor role.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Undergraduate studies in business administration, digital marketing, human-computer interaction, user experience, computer science or related subject area.

License/Certification/Designation: Property/casualty insurance and/or life/health/accident/variable annuity licensing and/or FINRA 6 and 26 securities registration, CLU, CPCU, CPU, FLMI certifications will a plus.

Experience: Typically, eight or more years of demonstrated experience delivering customer-facing digital solutions, internet sales, website or web application development and/or research. Experience with agile delivery methodologies and product management/owner principles. Project management in an internet sales environment required.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Knowledge of insurance and investment securities products and services preferred. Understanding of agile planning practices and user experience knowledge a plus. Proven knowledge of internet technologies and website management. Command of verbal and written communication skills and ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information. Strong ability to summarize findings and develop recommendations that influence the strategic vision and multi-year roadmap for any given digital product or experience. Strong presentation abilities required to clearly and concisely communicated findings and recommendations to all levels of leadership including senior leaders. Ability to work independently and manage large, complex tasks that cross several subject areas, e.g., competitive analysis, user testing and research, etc.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Staffing exceptions to the above require approval by the hiring manager's leader and Human Resources Business Partner.
