Job Summary

The Digital Brand Assistant supports the Content & Digital Brand team in creating and distributing engaging digital content that strengthens the Tampa Bay Lightning brand. This role assists with content production, content calendar management, social media initiatives, and short-form video creation across platforms including TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. This role will work closely with multiple departments facilitating content, analysis of platforms, and strategic insights across Vinik Sports Group owned channels and new emerging media.
The ideal candidate is a creative and digitally savvy storyteller with a passion for sports, social media, and emerging trends. They will help identify opportunities to grow fan engagement, support the development of VSG's Creator Network, and contribute to innovative content strategies that connect with Gen Z and Millennial audiences.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist the Content & Digital Brand Creative Manager with planning, coordination, and execution of video and content productions.
  • Create, edit, publish and optimize short-form video content for platforms including TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Edit and produce engaging digital content for social media and marketing campaigns.
  • Support on-site production activities during video shoots and serve as lead coordinator for smaller-scale content projects.
  • Maintain and update content calendars to ensure timely execution of digital campaigns and initiatives.
  • Track content production schedules, asset delivery, and distribution across digital platforms.
  • Assist with content publishing, organization, and delivery to internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Monitor social media trends, cultural moments, and emerging digital platforms to identify opportunities for audience growth and engagement.
  • Help develop innovative content strategies that resonate with Gen Z and Millennial audiences.
  • Support the growth and management of the organization's Creator Network by researching, evaluating, and assisting with creator selection.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency across all digital content. Define campaign metrics working directly with various groups including: marketing, content, analytics and partnership
  • Help define and track key performance indicators (KPIs), create and maintain analysis reports with key learnings and action items to consistently work to improve the fan experience
  • Assist with performance tracking and content organization to support ongoing digital marketing and brand initiatives.
  • Deliver senior management ready presentations for strategic plans, analytics reports, emerging social trends and as requested
  • Assist the Digital Brand team with recapping and day-to-day operations on an as-needed basis

Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience in digital marketing, social media, content creation, brand marketing, sports marketing, or a related field (internships and freelance experience considered).
  • Bachelor's degree in video production, digital media, broadcast journalism, multimedia production, communications, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, and emerging digital channels.
  • Experience creating, editing, and publishing short-form video content optimized for social media.
  • Proficiency with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
  • Strong creative storytelling skills with an eye for visual content and brand consistency.
  • Knowledge of current social media trends, internet culture, and fan engagement strategies, particularly among Gen Z and Millennial audiences.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, creators, and external partners.
  • Experience supporting content production, photo/video shoots, or digital campaigns is preferred.
  • Passion for sports, entertainment, and fan culture, with knowledge of the Tampa Bay Lightning and Vinik Sports Group brands considered a plus.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including select nights, weekends, and game/event days as needed.
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
