Job description

I. SUMMARY STATEMENT

The Digital Photo Editor will manage the daily workflow of pictures coming in from multiple clients (via email, FTP and cloud based storage). The photo editor will be responsible for basic and advanced photo editing, and uploading and classifying photos to an in-house server. The photo editor is responsible for reviewing the quality and content of all photographs submitted by photographers and ensuring that all photos are of the highest quality possible and adhere to all CS3 Photography guidelines. Editor will need to be proficient in Adobe Photoshop.

II. ORGANIZATION

Reports to: Supervisor and/or Photo Management Team

III. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

-Photo Management Download photos from various intake sources (email, FTP, cloud storage). Conduct basic and advanced photo editing in Photoshop, such as cropping, basic retouching, exposure, color adjustments and compositing (changing of skies, merging exposures, etc.) Ensures that photos are kept in good order and organized accordingly.

-Maintains standards of quality and service levels and ensures regular proactive status communication with requester.

-Quality Assurance Review and selects best photos per CS3 Photography's photo guidelines. Follows quality assurance standards across multiple brands.

IV. EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

-YOU WILL BE TESTED IN PHOTOSHOP AS PART OF THE INTERVIEW PROCESS TO ENSURE PROFICIENCY

-PHOTOSHOP IS THE PRIMARY PROGRAM USED AT CS3.

-Skills: Adobe Photoshop and Photoshop Raw Editor including retouching and photo enhancement, exposure and color adjustments (white balance). Compositing and HDR blending/merging also needed. (Photography experience a plus)

-Needs to be able to do more than just move sliders and use presets when manipulating images.

-Proficient in the use of MS Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word

-Attentive to details

-Ability to follow strict QA guidelines and be able to identify problems

-Solid organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills

-Verbal, written and listening communication skills

-Ability to work independently and collaboratively

-Ability to demonstrate flexibility by: Regularly making measurable progress on a number of high priority tasks each day/week/month anticipating, and effectively work through change.

-Able to work under pressure with strict deadlines

-Able to receive professional criticism to meet the standards of CS3 Photography

-Flexibility to changing priorities and able to work on several projects simultaneously

-Must be able to uphold CS3 Photography's Values & Performance Principles of collaboration, performance excellence, sense of urgency, inclusion & diversity, integrity, customer focus, and respect.

-Normal operating hours for our office are Monday - Friday 9am-5pm.
