JOB DESCRIPTION:
Operate digital presses, maintain printing equipment, and manage orders for the District.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Quality control - It is the digital press operator's responsibility to maintain high quality in the work produced.
  2. Maintain and clean orderly work area.
  3. Operate machinery with care to minimize malfunction and breakage.
  4. Operate digital presses allowing for consistent quality while meeting deadlines.
  5. Assist when needed in other areas of Printing Services (bindery, copy room, mail room, etc.).
  6. Maintain accurate records for each printing job.
  7. Digital press maintenance and placing service calls when needed.
  8. Maintain an accurate inventory of supplies and submit orders for supplies.
  9. Regular attendance.
  10. Maintain confidentiality.
  11. All other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE:
  • 6 months of experience in digital press operation and routine maintenance
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
  • High School graduate

Special Knowledge/Skills:
  • Digital press operation
  • Mechanical ability
  • Basic math
  • Basic PC skills to process jobs promptly
  • Ability to read and comprehend print order forms and order specifications accurately
  • Ability to perform digital press set-up
  • Ability to adjust as needed for quality prints

An employee may be required to perform any or all of the above listed physical requirements. These physical requirements may constitute 25% of the employee's daily mobility .
