Job description

Position Summary

The NVH Division in Erie, PA is seeking a dynamic team member to join its Information Technology Engineering and Quality Tools (EQIT) organization.  This position is in Erie, PA with 4 days onsite 1 day work from home schedule. In this position, you will be part of a team that is responsible for maintaining Engineering tools, Quality Systems and Digital Operations Information Technology systems and processes.  Using your existing knowledge of engineering, operations, and quality business processes you will:

  • Support PLM, PDM, Quality, Engineering, Digital Operations, or similar systems applications. 

  • Support Factory of the Future (FoF) initiatives by helping plan, execute and supporting the tools being implemented. 

  • Support application implementation to Operational Technology (OT) Network by creating system diagrams and implementing applications that meet application and Parker security requirements. 

  • Act as a Project Manager as needed for small to medium sized projects supporting the EQIT team (0 - 25% of job duty) 

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate an understanding of business processes, technologies, and best practices within your functional area(s) of support and along with the business process chain. 

  • Act as a liaison between Parker corporate, Parker LORD Business Partners, and IT to identify opportunities to introduce new and enhanced information technology solutions supporting user base; facilitate benefits analysis, requirements gathering, solution/vendor evaluation, project planning, and estimation. 

  • Determine potential impact of current and emerging technology, industry, and market trends; translate into actionable IT investments/projects and champion prioritization aligned to Corporate, Functional and IT strategies and priorities. 

  • Keep existing systems up to date and secure by upgrading, enhancing, and patching systems. Ensure compliance to IT Security, SOX, compliance regulations and policy for applications within domain. 

  • Work with corporate and division teams to determine systems that should be deployed at divisions or moved to corporate. Develop plans for each and execute. 

  • Document impact of moving systems from division to corporate level.  Understand current work processes and how new systems will change processes to lessen impact on users. 

  • Provide technical support (Level 2/Level 3) for designated applications; working with users and Parker NVH IT personnel and vendors/partners to troubleshooting both application and business process issues, monitor ticket tracking system. 

  • Provide support for internal applications written in C# and Microsoft SQL.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, engineering, or equivalent

  • 2+years of work experience as a subject matter expert within your area including functional configuration and design. 

  • Background in Lean, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or Business Operations 

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to both technical and non-technical audiences 

  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes 

  • Ability to analyze issues and challenges and provide solutions within assigned Area

  • Familiarity with installing, configuring and maintaining enterprise applications within Microsoft Server environments

  • Knowledge and understanding of your designated area and its integration in other areas assigned. 

  • Experience in multiple disciplines such as data analysis, process analysis, and business process cycles within a multitier organization.   

  • Experience with enterprise and desktop applications.
