GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teaching responsibilities include courses in: Web design, Digital Media design and image processing.
Design courses to meet learning outcomes, and promote students' active participation in their own
learning.
Create an effective learning environment that fosters students' intellectual curiosity and helps students
to problem solve using discipline-specific thinking strategies.
Employ a variety of formative and summative assessments to ensure that classroom instruction leads
to student learning and the attainment of the student learning outcomes for the course.
Help students reach their academic, personal and career goals and foster a safe environment that
respects the diversity of people and ideas by modeling respect for all students and conveying confidence
in every student's ability to learn.
Contribute to and provide leadership in the student's academic and professional communities, and
promote collaboration and teamwork among members of these communities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

       Master's Degree/ MFA in interactive design, new media or related discipline required
Professional Experience/Expertise in Design/Web design or related field, (4 years' industry or business applied experience in the teaching subject area.) (Candidates would demonstrate with portfolio & work samples).

       Special consideration may be given to a candidate with a combination of Bachelor's degree in interactive design, new media or related discipline and 10+ years of professional industry or business applied experience in Web design/ development field demonstrated through expertise and excellence in performance evident through CV, Portfolio & work samples.

       Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Photoshop, Animate; HTML, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap & JQuery.

       Previous teaching experience in an academic environment.

       Knowledge of Brightspace, preferred.

       Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate with diverse group of staff and students required.

       Experience with a diverse, multi-lingual student population is desired, as is a commitment to the open access mission of the community college.

Salary Range: Salary: $800.00 Per Contact Hour

Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as other factors such as internal equity.
