SUMMARY

The Digital Merchandiser is a sales-focused ecommerce professional responsible for driving conversion and sales growth across Kids2's digital shelf on assigned retail platforms (Target, Walmart, Babylist, and others). This role is critical to translating our brand strategy, product innovation, and marketing initiatives into compelling digital shopping experiences that convert customers. The Digital Merchandiser ensures flawless execution of digital content, including product imagery, descriptions, titles, keywords, search optimization, and brand store experiences, while maintaining a relentless focus on the consumer journey and what drives purchase decisions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Digital Shelf Management & Optimization

  • Manage and optimize the digital shelf across assigned retail platforms with a focus on driving conversion and sales growth
  • Execute product setup, updates, and optimizations; ensure accuracy and consistency of product data, imagery, descriptions, titles, and keywords across all platforms
  • Manage digital brand stores, category pages, and featured sections; align with promotional calendars, seasonal events, and inventory levels
  • Monitor digital shelf performance vs. competition across content quality, product placement, searchability, and pricing accuracy; identify and troubleshoot issues (content errors, data inaccuracies, suppressed items, etc.)

New Product Launch & Content Management

  • Own new product setup and content loading on assigned retail platforms; coordinate with Sales, Creative, and Marketing to meet launch timelines and retailer requirements
  • Partner with internal teams to enhance product content and ensure seamless product launches. Flag content gaps or optimization opportunities; collaborate on improvements

Search & Performance Analysis

  • Drive keyword strategy and search optimization, ensuring products are discoverable based on consumer search behavior (SEO & AEO)
  • Monitor key ecommerce performance indicators (traffic, conversion rates, sales trends) and provide insights for optimization
  • Monitor content quality scorecards and benchmark digital shelf performance vs. competitors; stay informed on industry trends and emerging ecommerce best practices

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Build strong partnerships with Sales, Creative, and Marketing teams; provide regular updates on launches, performance, and retailer requirement changes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align digital initiatives with business goals
  • Spend time regularly shopping on assigned retailer platforms from the consumer's perspective; identify opportunities to improve the digital experience and bring recommendations to the team

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • 2-3 years of experience in ecommerce, digital merchandising, product catalog management, and/or digital marketing
  • Demonstrated experience managing product portfolios online and understanding what drives consumer purchase decisions
  • Working knowledge of retail ecommerce platform basics (product setup, content management, search); willingness to develop proficiency across multiple retailer portals
  • Ability to interpret and act on sales/ecommerce data; comfortable viewing data through a consumer/shopper lens
  • Understanding of SEO fundamentals and keyword strategy
  • Quick learner with a growth mindset; ability to develop mastery in new tools and platforms through hands-on practice
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with changing priorities
