Digital Media Director
We are seeking an entrepreneurial Digital Media Director to build and lead a brand-new internal media capability for our agency. As a high-EQ problem solver, you will immediately manage existing B2C accounts while architecting the strategic foundation to scale the vertical and eventually build a dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Capability Building: Evaluate and implement the digital paid media tools, infrastructure, and platform frameworks necessary to stand up the digital media department from scratch.
  • Client Management & Execution: Take immediate ownership of active clients, managing day-to-day operations and serving as the authoritative voice on paid strategy during meetings.
  • Multi-Channel Campaigns: Oversee and expand experimentation and hands on platform experience across, but not limited to: Paid Social (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), Paid Digital (Google Ads), and Streaming Media (Streaming TV/Hulu, Streaming Radio).
  • Analytics & Tracking: Move efforts from basic brand awareness to performance-driven programming, focusing on conversions, budget optimization, and resolving backend attribution tracking challenges.
  • Business Development: Hunt for net-new paid media client business, participate in RFPs/pitches, and scale revenue to sustain future headcount under your leadership.

Position Requirements
  • Experience & Mindset: Proven experience in digital paid media planning, buying, and strategy with a rolling-up-your-sleeves, startup mentality.
  • Business Development Savvy: Well-versed in the sales process, building new industry relationships, and participating in RFPs.
  • High EQ: Exceptional soft skills and situational awareness to seamlessly integrate into a tight-knit team culture.
  • Analytical Problem Solver: Ability to demonstrate true ownership of campaign performance and articulate how you have turned past campaign failures into successes.
  • Scale Comfort: Comfortable managing budgets for SMB clients.

Logistics & Compensation
  • Salary Range: $100,000 - $175,000 base salary + a defined commission package for sourcing net-new business.
  • Work Environment: 100% remote
  • Benefits: Health/Dental Insurance, 401K, FSA, Personal/Holiday/Volunteer Time Off, Mental Health & Wellness Program, etc.

Location: Given the nature of this new role the ideal candidate is based in the Richmond, Virginia area to allow for local collaboration opportunities (e.g., informal strategy syncs or monthly in-person gatherings). Though, we are a remote forward agency and would love to connect with talent who are ready to help us grow.
