Job description

Overview

The Digital Media Manager is responsible for the strategic development, planning, execution, and optimization of paid digital media campaigns inside the Google Ads ecosystem as the primary performance engine, complemented by strategic growth initiatives on Reddit and Twitch. This role requires the ability to balance high-intent search harvesting with community-centric brand building, using data to prove the incremental value of non-search channels. This role is pivotal in driving digital advertising performance marketing initiatives to achieve organizational objectives related to brand awareness and direct response, with the goal of increasing traffic and revenue to Shane Co.'s brick & mortar stores and on ShaneCo.com. The Digital Media Manager will oversee agency and vendor relationships, manage campaign budgets, and provide strategic recommendations across various digital channels.

Responsibilities

Digital Campaign Management

  • Drive full-funnel Google Ads strategy (Search, Pmax, DV/360, Shopping and YouTube), including advanced bidding tactics, AI, testing and optimization.
  • Oversee agency and vendor management of, but not limited to SEM, Display, and Digital Video media buying.
  • Manage budgets, pacing, actualization and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Manage end-to-end advertising campaign processes, including planning, setup, execution, monitoring, optimization, and reporting inside ad platforms.
  • Oversee digital media trafficking, ensuring the precise implementation of campaigns.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive paid digital media strategies that align with overarching marketing goals.

Brand & Creative Alignment

  • Collaborate with Brand team on media flights.
  • Work with internal Marketing teams to coordinate the launch of media campaigns, including archiving and requesting new assets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including creative and content, to ensure cohesive and effective campaigns.

Performance & Optimization

  • Monitor campaign performance data to identify trends, derive insights, and recommend optimization strategies.
  • Generate regular performance reports, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Use reporting tools to review data on the effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Collect and maintain media hindsight raw data across all channels, markets, and months for post-campaign analysis and reporting.

Team Leadership & Vendor Management

  • Manage relationships with external vendors, account reps, and partners, as required.
  • Supervise and mentor direct report(s), offering guidance and support for their professional development.

Industry & Compliance

  • Remain current with industry trends, platform updates, and best practices in digital media advertising.
  • Abide by the specific policies and procedures of digital advertising, including CCPA, and other future requirements surrounding PII protection.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in buying digital media, ideally within an agency setting.
  • Proven experience managing Google Ads (Search, Shopping, Pmax, YouTube, DV/360) and familiarity with the Reddit Ads and Twitch (Amazon Advertising) ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing enterprise-level B2C clients, preferably within the luxury goods space.
  • Strong understanding of media buying software and platforms, i.e. Google Ads, Google Merchant Center, Google Tag Manager, DV/360.
  • Comprehensive understanding of digital media marketing principles, best practices, and current trends.
  • Proven ability to achieve measurable results through paid digital media campaigns.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the capacity to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in digital media analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software applications.
  • Experience in eCommerce and/or retail is advantageous.

Work Environment

The primary environment for this role is a combination of an open office and a remote workplace. Considerable business is conducted using telephone and computer technology. This role is expected to be on-site in the Home Office up to 3 days per week on an ongoing basis. Travel may be required to stores, conferences or events up to 5% of the time.

Base Pay range for this role is $99,500 - $123,000 annually. Your placement in the range is determined through interviews, a review of experience, knowledge, skills, balanced pay with other team members and alignment with geographic market data. Home office base pay ranges are based on the Denver market.  We target most new hire offers toward the lower end of the listed range, but more demonstrated experience, knowledge and skills may result in a higher starting rate. 

Beyond Base Pay: Home office positions are eligible for consideration for an annual bonus, based on total company performance.  Amounts vary by role and are based on a percentage of eligible earnings for the fiscal year.
