Job Summary:

Join the Innovation Garage team at the Auraria Library and help power creativity on campus through design, digital media, and hands-on maker technologies.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Digital Media Assistant will work in the Auraria Library Innovation Garage, providing support to campus students, faculty, and staff. They will collaborate with the Creative Technology Service Unit, other student staff, and the Ask Us desk to deliver quality, courteous, and responsive customer service in support of public-facing spaces.
• Fulfill appointments by setting up equipment properly and on time, assisting users, answering questions, and creating a positive user experience.
• Assist users with video and photo production equipment, including DSLR cameras, lighting set up, and background changes.
• Collaborate with users and Library staff to deliver courteous, responsive customer service in a public-facing environment.
• Support an environment of creativity and exploration.

Competencies/KSAs:

Students will be most successful if they bring strong customer service skills, clear communication, and a willingness to learn new technologies. Basic familiarity with design software or maker tools, combined with problem-solving ability and attention to detail, will support effective user assistance.
