USC Athletics is looking to hire a Digital Media Producer - Women's Basketball | Track & Field to join our staff and student community of 600+ individuals. This position will serve as the primary content creator for USC Women's Basketball and Track & Field, producing engaging digital content for distribution across multiple channels and social media platforms. The successful candidate will possess strong interviewing and storytelling skills, with the ability to produce highlight packages, feature stories, and promotional content that showcases the student-athlete experience and elevates the USC Athletics brand. The ideal candidate is creative, collaborative, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position will also assist in overseeing and developing student workers.
This role offers the opportunity to serve as a lead digital media producer for USC Women's Basketball and USC Track & Field, two nationally recognized programs with proud traditions of excellence and achievement.
Additional requirements include operating complex video and audio equipment; capturing video, audio and images of programs and events; transporting equipment to various sites for purpose of media production; using hardware and software to prepare, edit and store digital content for assigned projects; and assisting in the creation of comprehensive digital content archives.
Reporting directly to the Director of Video Production, the Digital Media Producer will work in collaboration with social media, marketing, and other creative department staff to produce a variety of digital content. The ideal candidate will be a creative self-starter who is fluent in video production from start to finish.
This position serves a large student and staff population, must demonstrate a commitment to improving outcomes for a variety of populations, and is expected to contribute to the program's demonstrated commitment to non-discrimination and equal opportunity for all. This position requires full schedule flexibility, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel approximately 25% of the time.
Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree and two years of experience. Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education.
  • Submission of a reel is required.
  • Proficient with Adobe Premiere CC, FCP, writing, camera operation, sound recording, lighting, color grading, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe After Effects, Adobe Audition, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Speed Grade, etc.)
  • Knowledge of run and gun production
  • Proven ability to design and deliver video production within a fast-paced, technologically-advanced environment and to deliver quality projects on time
  • Capacity to manage multiple, in-parallel, fast-paced projects while interacting with different functional teams
  • Ability to plan projects, work to timelines, and provide regular project status and updates
  • Knowledge and passion for a variety of different sports
  • Must be a team player with a great attitude
  • Experience working in higher education and/or a sports related field ideal.

Hourly Range
The hourly rate range for this position is $35.00 - $37.00.
