Job description

INNOCEAN USA, a full-service advertising agency located in sunny Huntington Beach, CA, is seeking a Freelance Digital Producer to join our growing team!  We don't just look for fresh talent, we look for fresh thinkers.

This is a long-term, on-going, freelance role.  

The successful candidate can balance being a team partner and yet owns the project in several stages of production as the creative production and agency advocate. Proactivity and accurate scope assessment to help guide the agency/client through processes are key to this role. 

Work ranges from online media & dynamic advertising to medium sized website projects and maintenance items. You will work closely with Account, UX, Creative, Strategy, Data Sciences, and Tech team(s) to ensure the project is on schedule, within scope and produced to the highest quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES
•    The Digital Producer drives projects from start to finish as the delivery services individual. They are responsible for maintaining project scope, vendor management, project financials, facilitating project team meetings, reporting project health, managing milestones, escalating issues, and assisting in issue resolution. They must keep their projects on track by troubleshooting, predicting, and communicating status and risks.
•    Consistently advocates for the creative and manages expectations to help make development successful. Summarizes and proposes solutions to core challenges that the team may face.
•    Development and procurement of product correct copy and visual assets (photography, CG, video, etc.) including working with both first-hand asset developers as well as second-hand assets from print/video shoots for content.
•    Works with cross-functional project teams to internal quality control within scope. Estimate costs and timing, route functional/visual design against technology requirements and process and tools. This position will also be working very closely with third party vendors.
•    Has a strong understanding of web development practices (information architecture, database integration, etc.), while also understanding how content management systems theoretically work. Ensures testing and quality assurance phase is executed.
•    Maintains expertise in the web development/asset/content generation medium.
•    Follows standard policies and procedures, and recommends improvements as needed. 
 

EXPERIENCE
•    3-5 years of experience managing interactive .com projects, preferably in a consulting or ad agency environment.
•    Automotive marketing experience is preferred
•    A solid understanding of creative development and interactive design process, with a curiosity and passion for learning new things.
•    Competent knowledge of one or more of the following: software development lifecycles, web technologies, web development processes and the delivery of solutions with creative and engineering components, media and advertising projects, digital strategy projects.
•    Competent understanding of project management methodology including the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, develop detailed work plans and specifications, perform resource allocations, and run team meetings.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
•    Ability to solve problems with keen instincts and organizational experience.
•    Intermediate to advanced user in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Excel, Visio, etc.), Google Suite (Drive, Doc, Sheets, etc.) and have similar proficiency in the tools we use (Smartsheet, Basecamp, etc.).

The salary range for this role is $90,000-$100,000.
Pay is dependent upon several factors including but not limited to: client, experience, training and/or transferable skills.
