About the Project:

Trillium Rail Partners (TRP) is a consortium of Amico Major Projects, Alberici Constructors, and Acciona Infrastructure Canada, working closely with Metrolinx to deliver the Stations, Rail, and Systems (SRS) package for the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension (ECWE), a transformative 9.2 km expansion of Toronto’s light rail network.

The ECWE will bring the Eglinton Crosstown LRT another 9.2 kilometres farther west, creating a continuous rapid transit line from the east end of Toronto into Mississauga. The Stations, Rail, and Systems (SRS) package encompasses the design, construction, integration, and commissioning of key project components.

Position Overview:

TRP has a current vacancy for a Digital Delivery & BIM Manager that will lead the implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and digital delivery processes for the project. This role is accountable for ensuring BIM and digital delivery requirements are successfully integrated across design, engineering, planning, estimating, construction, and commissioning activities in compliance with contractual obligations, client requirements, and industry standards.

The successful candidate will provide leadership to project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and stakeholders to drive collaboration, information management, model-based delivery, and digital innovation throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and management of the Project BIM Execution Plan (BEP), digital delivery strategy, standards, and workflows.
  • Ensure project compliance with contractual BIM and information management requirements, including ISO 19650, client standards, and project-specific information requirements.
  • Provide overall governance of BIM, digital engineering, GIS integration, and digital construction activities across all project disciplines.
  • Manage the coordination and integration of multidisciplinary models, including civil, structural, architectural, rail, systems, and MEP disciplines.
  • Lead model reviews, clash detection, constructability assessments, validation processes, and quality assurance activities to ensure model accuracy and consistency.
  • Oversee the management and administration of Common Data Environments (CDEs) and digital collaboration platforms such as BIM 360, ACC, or Unifier.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the client’s BIM representatives, design consultants, joint venture partners, subcontractors, and project teams on all BIM and digital delivery matters.
  • Ensure information models and digital deliverables are developed, coordinated, reviewed, and submitted in accordance with project milestones and contractual obligations.
  • Support the integration of BIM with project controls, scheduling, cost management, asset information, and construction planning processes, including 4D and 5D applications.
  • Establish and monitor BIM performance metrics, model validation processes, and reporting requirements.
  • Lead the resolution of BIM-related issues and interface management between design, construction, temporary works, and permanent works activities.
  • Manage digital delivery resources and support project staffing requirements to achieve project objectives.
  • Develop and deliver BIM training, guidance, and mentoring programs to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Promote digital innovation initiatives, automation, visualization, digital twins, and data-driven decision-making to enhance project delivery and operational outcomes.
  • Support the development of handover and asset information requirements to facilitate future operations and maintenance activities.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Information Management, or related discipline.
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in BIM management, digital delivery, or VDC (Virtual Design & Construction) within major infrastructure or transit projects.
    • Demonstrated experience leading BIM implementation on large-scale transportation, rail, transit, or infrastructure projects.
    • Strong knowledge of BIM standards, information management processes, and ISO 19650 principles.
    • Proven experience developing and managing BIM Execution Plans, information delivery strategies, and model governance frameworks.
    • Advanced proficiency with industry-standard digital delivery tools, including Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRail, Synchro, Unifier, ACC/BIM 360, and similar platforms.
    • Experience managing Common Data Environments (CDEs), federated models, model coordination, and information workflows.
    • Familiarity with GIS integration, digital twins, asset information management, and model-based project delivery.
    • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced project environment.
