JOB PURPOSE:

The Digital Experience Platform (DXP) Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing Arbitration Forums' member-facing digital experience platform. This role plays a key part in delivering unified and personalized member experience by building and maintaining a centralized portal that provides seamless access to business applications, analytics dashboards, reports, APIs, content, and self-service capabilities.


The DXP Developer works closely with business stakeholders, product teams, architects, and technology partners to create engaging, secure, and scalable digital experiences. This role is responsible for implementing personalization capabilities, user and member persona management, platform integrations, and digital experiences that improve member engagement and satisfaction.


This role is expected to interact with AF employees and members to solicit feedback on digital experiences, platform usability, and solution effectiveness, and to make recommendations for continuous improvement based on customer insights and business needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, develop, implement, and support enterprise Digital Experience Platform (DXP) solutions and a centralized member portal that provides seamless access to applications, analytics dashboards, reports, APIs, content, and self-service capabilities.
  • Configure, customize, and administer Digital Experience Platforms such as Liferay DXP, Sitecore, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), or similar platforms.
  • Design and manage portal structures, navigation frameworks, content hierarchies, reusable components, page templates, themes, widgets, and digital assets to deliver consistent and engaging member experiences.
  • Develop responsive, accessible, and user-centric web applications and portal experiences using modern frontend technologies and frameworks, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Angular, Next.js, and related technologies.
  • Implement personalization, audience segmentation, role-based experiences, and member journey capabilities that dynamically deliver content, applications, dashboards, and services based on user roles, permissions, profiles, and behavioral data.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain secure, scalable APIs and integrations that connect the Digital Experience Platform with enterprise applications, analytics platforms, content management systems, customer/member management solutions, and external services.
  • Integrate reporting and analytics solutions, including Power BI and other business intelligence platforms, into the member portal to provide secure and personalized access to insights and reporting.
  • Define and implement architecture standards, integration patterns, content delivery strategies, API governance, and technical best practices to ensure scalability, maintainability, performance, and reliability.
  • Implement secure authentication, authorization, and identity management solutions using Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, and other enterprise security standards, while enforcing secure coding practices and compliance requirements.
  • Configure, deploy, and manage Azure-hosted platform resources and environments across Development, QA, UAT, and Production, including automated deployments, monitoring, scalability, high availability, disaster recovery, and operational support.
  • Configure and maintain content management capabilities, publishing workflows, approval processes, metadata standards, taxonomies, search functionality, workflow automation, and content governance practices.
  • Administer portal configuration, user communities, member workspaces, personas, access controls, and entitlements to ensure secure and personalized digital experiences.
  • Monitor application and platform performance, troubleshoot and resolve production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve system stability, reliability, and user satisfaction.
  • Manage source control, configuration management, release processes, deployment activities, technical documentation, and change governance across all environments.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, architects, UX designers, and development teams to gather requirements, prioritize enhancements, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support the organization's digital transformation strategy.


QUALIFICATIONS

Experience, Education and Licensure

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience designing, developing, and supporting Digital Experience Platforms (DXP), enterprise portals, member portals, or customer-facing digital solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
  • Hands-on experience with one or more leading DXP platforms, such as Liferay DXP, Sitecore, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), or similar enterprise portal solutions.
  • Experience implementing key DXP capabilities, including content management (CMS), personalization, audience segmentation, member/customer portals, digital experience analytics, user journey orchestration, self-service capabilities, and workflow automation.
  • Strong proficiency in modern web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, Next.js, Vue.js, and related frameworks.
  • Experience designing and integrating REST APIs, and enterprise application integrations.
  • Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, and enterprise identity and access management solutions.
  • Experience integrating DXP platforms with CRM systems, analytics platforms, content management solutions, enterprise applications, APIs, and member/customer management systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, cloud-native architecture, and modern CI/CD practices.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and utilizing tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, and Confluence.
  • Relevant DXP, cloud, or web development certifications are preferred.
  • Auto insurance claims industry experience is preferred.
