Description Of Services
  • The Digital Engineer will design, develop, integrate, and test VHDL-based digital designs for software-defined radio firmware, utilizing FPGA programming development tools and environments.
  • Duties include working with multi-disciplinary teams (Systems Engineering, Digital Engineering, Hardware, Integration & Test) and analyzing system concepts of operation, requirements, and design documents to resolve functional, performance, or timing issues.
  • This role requires hands-on experience in VHDL design and verification, a working knowledge of formal engineering development processes, and the ability to work independently and within groups.
  • The ideal candidate will apply expertise in waterfall or Agile development environments, translating system requirements into programmable logic designs and test specifications.

Skills/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5+ years of experience; Master's with 3+ years -- (Required)
  • Significant hands-on current experience in VHDL design -- (Required)
  • Working knowledge of formal engineering development process, VHDL design and verification -- (Required)
  • Excellent written and communication skills -- (Required)
  • Experience with VHDL design and OSVVM verification for FPGA firmware -- (Preferred)
  • Experience with AMD/Xilinx series devices (Zynq, Kintex, Ultrascale, Versal) -- (Preferred)
  • Experience with Communication Protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, PCIe, Ethernet) -- (Preferred)
  • Experience with EDA tools: Vivado, Quartus, QuestaSim -- (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of FPGA physical constraints and timing closure -- (Preferred)
  • Experience with board/system-level debug using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers -- (Preferred)
