Position Overview

As a Principal Digital Engineer, you'll support the design, development, and verification of safety-critical digital systems for advanced aerospace and defense programs. This role involves working on next-generation navigation, video, and cockpit technologies while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and verify high-speed digital hardware for safety-critical systems.
  • Implement FPGA, ASIC, and SoC solutions using VHDL and/or Verilog.
  • Perform digital verification and hardware validation activities.
  • Support requirements definition, design, integration, testing, and production transition.
  • Participate in design reviews, peer reviews, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with systems, software, manufacturing, and program teams.
  • Contribute to Agile, DevSecOps, and Model-Based Engineering initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or another STEM discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience (or a Master's degree with 3+ years, or a Ph.D. with 1+ year).
  • Experience with high-speed digital design and verification.
  • Hands-on FPGA, ASIC, or SoC development experience.
  • Strong VHDL and/or Verilog skills.
  • Experience with synthesis and timing closure.
  • Hardware development experience from requirements through integration and production.
  • Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to work onsite in Woodland Hills, CA.
