The project :If you like the idea of leading digital development at the forefront of Microsoft cloud technologies - working across SharePoint, Power Platform, Azure and M365 to deliver impactful solutions for major clients - then this role offers a unique opportunity.

The role is for an experienced Developer specializing in SharePoint & Power Platform. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge base across the Microsoft cloud stack, including recent experience of working with Azure and M365.

The principal responsibility of the role is to lead the Digital Development team supporting one of Mace's largest clients. You will contribute to the development of digital tools, processes and outputs that support the wider project team and enable effective delivery of projects. You will be directly responsible for delivering and managing assets in SharePoint and Power Platform.

As part of your role, you will interface with the Mace project team, client stakeholders, Digital professionals in other areas of Mace and senior leadership. You will be part of the global Digital Services community, sharing knowledge and experience with peers and colleagues across the globe.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Work collaboratively with other Digital leadership roles, including the regional Digital Lead, global Digital Development lead and specialist Service Leads.

  • Serve as a conduit between the global leadership team and the regional resource base, ensuring effective two-way communication and alignment.

  • Perform periodic audits / assessments of projects in your region to quality assure compliance with established policies and ways of working.

  • Lead the recruitment of resource aligned to your specialist area in this and other global regions, working with regional representatives where appropriate.

  • Oversee the onboarding process for new starters in Digital Development, including coordinating induction activities.

  • Implement strategy and policy related to your area of specialism into your region and other global regions, working with Regional Team Leads to ensure consistent application of policy across the organisation.

  • Identify training and professional development opportunities aligned with your Service, working with the Skills & Certification Lead to plan appropriate training sessions.

  • Maintain the career framework for your Service, including job descriptions, job family definitions and salary bands, aligned with industry norms.

  • Keep the global team informed about recent product updates and functionality, through regular comms and knowledge shares.

  • Support performance appraisals for resources aligned to your Service, working with regional line managers where appropriate.

  • Evaluate software packages on the market relevant to your Service and make recommendations as to their use or adoption.

  • Manage developer licence applications (e.g. Power BI Pro, Power Apps Developer) for Digital Developers in the region.

  • Oversee the creation and management of workspaces and development environments related to your Service, including sandbox and training platforms.

You'll need to have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience with SharePoint and Power Platform is expected, which should include hands-on experience of building Power Apps and Power Automate flows.

  • Knowledge of PnP PowerShell to create a site schema (columns, content types, Lists, views) and to automate different tasks.

  • Experience of integrating Power Apps with external services through custom connectors, REST APIs and web services.

  • The ability to create efficient Flows, making effective use of advanced features such as error handling, parallel branches and conditions.

  • Knowledge of software Application Lifecycle Management processes, and demonstrable experience of managing deployments through Dev, UAT and Prod environments.

  • (Desirable, but not essential) A relevant Microsoft certification, such as PL-200 / PL-400 (Power Platform Solutions Expert).

You'll also have:

  • Experience of working in a consultancy environment and management of stakeholders including clients, colleagues and data owners.

  • Prior experience of managing a team, including remote colleagues.

  • A willingness to share knowledge and support the development of others.

  • The confidence to ask questions, make suggestions and challenge the status quo.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (in English) and presentational skills.

Note : The estimated salary for this position is 170,000 USD. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications.
