Job description

Overview
The Senior Manager, Demand Generation owns global demand generation: SEM, paid social, marketing automation, and new digital channels, with also advertising and trade show. This role works hands-on with global SEM agencies and is accountable for results. The Senior Manager, Demand Generation analyzes performance across channels and connects it to company-level results while also manages the demand generation team and coordinates with Marketing Intelligence, the content team, and corporate marketing, including presenting to senior leadership. Comfortable using AI tools as part of daily work.
Responsibilities
Demand Generation Execution (Primary Focus)
  • Own demand generation performance for the Marketplace division end to end.
  • Own execution across core demand generation channels: SEM, paid social, and marketing automation - as well as new channels as the mix evolves.
  • Work hands-on on SEM, coordinating execution with international agencies while remaining fully accountable for results and scaling the channel.
  • Onboard and scale YouTube and other brand-awareness channels as part of the demand generation mix.
  • Ensure campaign execution is consistently tied to revenue and pipeline goals, not just activity metrics.
  • Maintain execution quality and pacing standards across all demand generation channels.

Marketing Automation & Lifecycle
  • Own marketing automation programs like emails, nurture, and lifecycle journeys, with hands-on Marketo experience strongly preferred.

Analytics & Measurement
  • Analyze demand generation performance and connect it to broader business outcomes, partnering with the Marketing Intelligence team on reporting and insights.

Advertising & Offline Programs
  • Govern advertising (print and online) and PR activities for the division.
  • Hold trade shows accountable for the leads and pipeline they deliver, acting as the key stakeholder with Trade Show Managers and Corporate Marketing.

Cross-Division Collaboration
  • Coordinate with regional marketing teams to align demand generation execution globally.
  • Collaborate closely with other divisions' marketing teams and corporate marketing to align programs.
  • Present demand generation strategy, results, and recommendations to senior leadership.

Requirements:
  • Hands-on proficiency with AI tools for marketing execution and productivity, including generative AI for campaign content, prompting, briefs, and workflow automation.
  • Strong knowledge of SEM, paid social, marketing automation, and emerging AI-driven marketing channels.
  • Ability to leverage AI tools regularly to improve marketing efficiency, productivity, and effectiveness.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a data-informed environment while partnering with analytics resources.
  • Working knowledge of marketing analytics beyond standard channel metrics such as ROAS and CTR, with the ability to connect marketing activities to broader business results.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively across divisions, functions, and geographic regions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present confidently to senior leadership.
  • Ability to effectively lead and coordinate multi-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Ability to manage external agencies, budgets, and multiple marketing initiatives simultaneously.

Education/Experience:
  • BA/BS degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in demand generation, digital marketing, or growth marketing, including team management experience.
  • Hands-on experience running SEM, paid social, and marketing automation programs at scale, including piloting or scaling new channels such as AI-driven or AI-referral programs.
  • Experience managing a multi-functional team spanning marketing automation, campaign execution, and regional coordination.
  • Marketo experience strongly preferred; familiarity with comparable marketing automation platforms otherwise.
  • Experience onboarding or scaling brand-awareness channels such as YouTube.
  • B2B technical or industrial marketing experience preferred.
  • Experience managing or coordinating with offshore/international team members across multiple time zones.
  • Experience managing trade show and PR programs alongside digital demand-generation activities.
  • Experience with budget systems similar to SAP and managing external agencies at a comparable spend level.

Ability to operate office equipment such as a copier; ability to see details at a close range; ability to sit at desk or PC for long periods of time; work in office setting.

Compensation Range Transparency:
At Edmund Optics, we are committed to transparency and equity in our hiring practices. The posted salary range for this role reflects the expected base pay. The actual offer will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, education, work experience, business needs, and geographic location.
Salary Range:
$115,000 - $130,000 per year
