Job description

Web and Digital Content Strategist
St. Ambrose University invites applications for a Web and Digital Content Strategist to join our Communications and Marketing team. This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality, audience-focused digital content across university websites, internal platforms, and related digital channels within a shared services model supporting both St. Ambrose University and Mount Mercy University.
The successful candidate will help advance institutional goals related to enrollment, brand, academics, advancement, and internal communications through the creation of accurate, accessible, SEO-informed, and strategically aligned digital content.
Key Responsibilities
  • Create, edit, and maintain website and portal content
  • Optimize content using SEO best practices and analytics
  • Develop digital content (web pages, landing pages, campaigns, internal communications)
  • Use approved AI tools to improve content quality and workflow efficiency
  • Ensure content meets accessibility standards and university guidelines
  • Monitor performance and recommend improvements based on data
  • Partner across departments to support marketing and communication goals

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in web content, digital communications, or SEO
  • Strong writing, editing, and project management skills
  • Experience with CMS platforms and analytics tools preferred
