Job Summary:
Abacus Service Corporation is seeking a Digital Analyst II to maintain and collect digital data for web, social, apps, and campaigns. The role involves analyzing performance data, leading business reviews, and recommending strategic actions while ensuring data quality and compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze data from the agency's digital platforms (e.g., websites, social, apps, campaigns, etc.) to uncover insights, trends and opportunities for improvement and strategic direction.
• Translate analytical findings into clear narratives using visualizations and storytelling.
• Lead and facilitate business review meetings with stakeholders to understand business priorities, to share findings, and to recommend strategic actions.
• Set up and manage analytics software (e.g., GA4, Google Tag Manager, etc.).
• Implement new tracking tags for marketing campaigns or UX events.
• Update filters, conversions, or custom dimensions/metrics when business needs change.
• Collect, clean, and analyze data to derive insights and inform decision-making.
• Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Use statistical and analytical techniques to interpret data trends.
• Use languages and tools like SQL, Power BI, and Excel.
• Maintain a structured approach for collecting, managing, and leveraging digital data to meet business objectives.
• Define what data needs to be captured to support analysis of the agency's digital platforms.
• Identify, collect, and document business needs from stakeholders.
• Translate these needs into clear, actionable user stories and tasks that guide data architects, data engineers and analysts to collaboratively develop reporting products.
• Develop and publish interactive reports in Looker and Power BI for business stakeholders.
• Create visualizations, such as charts, graphs, and dashboards.
• Ensure data consistency, integrity, and accuracy.
• Perform systematic data quality checks on digital analytics software collection and preexisting reporting products to ensure data continue to be fit for use.
• Document processes, data definitions, and access controls.
• Enforce compliance and security requirements.
• Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Three (3) years of experience in digital / web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, HTML, etc.).
• Three (3) years of experience querying data in a relational database environment (e.g., Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle etc.).
• Three (3) years of experience in data analysis (e.g., Excel, R, Python, etc.).
• Two (2) years of experience in building dashboards or reports (e.g., Looker, Power BI, etc.).
• One (1) year of experience facilitating meetings and presenting analytical findings.
• A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a similar field.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the job duties is also accepted.
Preferred:
• Basic understanding of how digital data is collected (e.g., events, pixels, cookies, etc.).
• Familiar with digital analytic tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, etc.).
• Basic understanding of website development and processes (HTML, CSS, Javascript, etc.).
• Familiar with data validation techniques.
