Our proprietary technology enables local advertising and insights at scale, all while meeting the highest user privacy standards in the industry.
Locala is seeking a strategic and analytically minded Pre-Sales Account Manager to join our Customer Success team. This role is critical to driving new business by developing persuasive, insight-led media plans and proposal responses aligned with client goals.
As the main owner of the pre-sales process, you will work cross-functionally to understand client objectives, design digital media strategies, and lead the creation of best-in-class proposals that win business. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in digital media planning or strategy, strong communication skills, and a passion for solving client challenges through data-driven marketing solutions.
This role blends strategic thinking, data-driven insights, and storytelling to build compelling proposals that drive business growth. All candidates must be based in either PST time zones.
What you'll do:
  • RFP Ownership & Proposal Strategy:
    Lead the end-to-end development of RFP responses, including crafting strategic narratives, building media plans, integrating data-driven insights, and clearly articulating success metrics.
  • Media Plan Development:
    Design comprehensive, multi-channel media plans (Display, DOOH, Audio, CTV, etc.) tailored to client goals and budget constraints. Define audience targeting, channel mix, investment allocation, and delivery timelines.
  • Client Objective Alignment:
    Partner closely with Sales to uncover client pain points, marketing goals, and target audiences. Proactively identify opportunities through insights and market analysis to inform high-impact strategies.
  • Insights Development & Strategic Storytelling:
    Leverage Locala's proprietary planning platform and data tools to generate actionable insights for both RFPs and proactive prospecting. Translate location intelligence, audience behavior, and market trends into compelling narratives that strengthen proposals and uncover new business opportunities. Clearly connect insights to strategy, media recommendations, and expected outcomes.
  • Inventory & Pricing Collaboration: Coordinate with Ad Ops and Platform teams to validate inventory availability and ensure pricing accuracy and feasibility.
  • Presentation & Pitch Readiness: Develop visually compelling, insight-driven client presentations. Partner with Sales and participate in client meetings as a subject matter expert, confidently presenting strategy, insights, and recommendations.
  • Project Management: Drive the RFP workflow, ensuring timely input from Sales, Creative, Ad Ops, and Platform teams. Deliver high-quality proposals within deadlines.
  • Process & Tool Proficiency: Maintain accurate records of proposal activity across internal systems (CRM, planning, and project management tools). Identify and champion process improvements that increase speed, consistency, and quality of output.

Your profile:
  • All candidates must be based in either PST time zones
  • Over 2 years experience in the Ad Tech/Digital advertising field
  • Strong understanding of Media Agency landscape
  • Ability to self-manage, juggle multiple priorities & meet deadlines with a strong attention to detail
