Description of Job Department: Office of the Governor Position Title: Office of the Governor Intern Hourly Rate: $20/hour FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Position type: Temporary Work schedule: 16 hours/week; between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday Term - Approximately September-December Summary of Functions: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Exposure to the operations and day-to-day tasks of the Governor's Office Professional development opportunities and relational network building Connect Coloradans with advocates and resources across the state to ensure a first-class constituent services program, working with the constituent services team in order to make sure that the state is doing everything it can to help its constituents. Assist with Correspondence (draft proclamations, congratulatory letters, welcome letters, retirement letters, and letters of recognition) and ensure all correspondence follows accessibility standards. May serve as front desk receptionist (main point of contact for the public to the Governor's Office), answering phones, greeting visitors and assisting constituents.

Provides general administrative support to the Governor's office staff and assists with basic requests such as printer technical support, ordering supplies, etc. Provides information about the office and organization to constituents and visitors. Coordinates with the Office of the Governor's Community Engagement team and Constituent Services and Correspondence team.

Understanding of digital accessibility standards and basic document remediation skills. Assisting various staff members in different offices within the Governor's Office (writing briefs, doing research, etc.). Special projects and other duties as assigned
