Dietetic Assistant

Location: Mercy Hospital - A Member of Catholic Health

Job Details

Job Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process patient room-service meal orders and keep call queues running smoothly.
  • Verify diet orders in the CBORD system and communicate any questions with patients, nursing staff, or dietitians.
  • Coordinate meal-related concerns with kitchen staff and ensure reports-such as enteral feeding lists and floor census-are completed and delivered on time.
  • Provide friendly, compassionate service to patients and families over the phone and in person.
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with supervisors, management, and other departments.
  • Proactively address concerns and assist in creating a positive meal-service experience.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of food and nutrition services experience
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a patient-centered attitude
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
