We are currently seeking an experienced full-time Cook to join our dedicated dietary team.   You will lead the preparation of nutritious, high-quality meals and manage full-cycle catering events. The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, who excels in a "clean-as-you-go" workspace and is committed to food service excellence.

What You’ll Do:

  • This position is full-time, Monday - Friday, may include some weekends and evenings.
  • Prepare assigned meals for staff and patients following HACCP guidelines.
    Serves the hot portion of the patient’s meal according to the patient’s diet and other personal preferences.
  • Responsible for timely set up, food preparation, service, and clean-up of catered meals.
  • Maintains a clean, orderly work area, following a clean as you go policy.
  • Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal, medical and financial information per HIPAA.

What You’ll Need:

  • Two years of cooking experience (restaurant, school, hospital, etc.) preferred.
  • Current Marion County Health Department Food Service Handler’s Card.
  • Knowledge of the principles of the work involved.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge and use of computers preferred.
  • Must be highly motivated.
  • Willingness to participate in Hospital orientation and educational in-service
