Job description

A. Use all required safety equipment.
B. Perform inspections on trucks per instruction sheet. Determine if additional safety or service work is required.
C. Read all Service Bulletins to keep informed on new products and improvements.
D. Correctly diagnose cause of any malfunction/customer complaint. Advise Service Manager of any additional repairs and cost of repairs or if work outlined is not needed.
E. Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy and meet time guide requirements when prescribed.
F. Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
G. Document work performed on appropriate labor ticket legibly.
H. Punch labor tickets on time clock at beginning and end of each work session for each operation.
I. Road-test vehicles when required.
J. Supervise work of any junior technicians assigned.
A. Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs on a regular basis.
B. Have knowledge and expertise in using and operating special service tools.
C. Must have efficient reading skills.
D Must have basic PC skills, including use of Internet.
E. Must have adequate hand tools to perform daily duties as prescribed by the Service Manager.
F. Encouraged to have the ability to obtain a Commercial Drivers License.
