Diesel Mechanic

Brighton, MI
$35-$45/hr | Monday-Friday Days | Full Benefits

If you're a diesel mechanic who can actually diagnose problems instead of just replacing parts, this is the kind of shop you're looking for.

We're hiring an experienced Diesel Technician to join a busy, well-equipped operation in Brighton, MI. You'll work on a fleet of diesel trucks powered by Cummins, PACCAR, Detroit, and similar engines, handling everything from diagnostics and electrical repairs to emissions systems and preventative maintenance.

This is a stable Monday-Friday position with steady hours, competitive pay, and excellent benefits.

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday
  • 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
  • No rotating shifts

Pay

  • Experienced Diesel Mechanics: $35-$45/hr
  • PM / Preventative Maintenance Technicians: $25-$35/hr
  • Pay based on experience and skill level

What You'll Do

  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines and truck systems
  • Perform advanced electrical troubleshooting
  • Repair and maintain DPF, DEF, SCR, and aftertreatment systems
  • Service brakes, suspension, steering, tires, hydraulics, pneumatics, and A/C systems
  • Complete preventative maintenance inspections and services
  • Use OEM diagnostic software and scan tools
  • Maintain accurate repair orders and service documentation

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
  • Experience working with Cummins, Detroit Diesel, CAT, PACCAR, or similar engines
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Own basic hand tools
  • Valid driver's license
  • CDL is a plus but not required
