Saunders Entertainment LLC. is looking for a full-time Diesel Mechanic/Generator Technician to join our team in Van Nuys, California!

Salary Range: $35-43/hr

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair problems with trucks, trailers, generators and other equipment

  • Perform preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers and generators

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, power supplies, instrumentation, gauges and test equipment

  • Work on diesel and gasoline engines, as well as other equipment

  • Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical team members, informing appropriate managers of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved

  • Maintain a clean and safe shop work environment

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or the equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years diesel mechanic experience
  • Passion for innovation and technology in the diesel engine industry
  • Experience with semi-truck repair
  • Technical school preferred
  • Must own adequate tools
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Must be able to comprehend, speak and write the English language
  • Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills

Priority consideration for Mechanics with:

  • Some fabrication experience
  • Some generator technician experience
  • Electrical experience
  • ASE certifications
  • Trade School

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • The noise level in the work environment is typical of a warehouse/shop and is usually moderate to loud.

  • Movements including but not limited to prolonged periods of standing and walking, lifting, bending, reaching, kneeling, etc.

  • Regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; talk; see; and/or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.

  • This job may require working evenings, weekends, and outdoors, including being on-call. It may also include travel out of state on occasion.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at all times.
