Job description

Baton Rouge OnSite Fleet Service is in search for a full-time Diesel Mechanic . Seeking diesel techs that can diagnose & repair both Medium-Heavy Duty Trucks &Trailers. We provide both mobile & In-house diagnostics and repairs. Our physical location provides a (3) bay shop and a large outdoor lean-to, to service most needed repairs. Mechanic would work from the shop and take occasional road calls when called upon if needed. Baton Rouge On-Site Fleet has serviced Baton Rouge & its surrounding areas for 20+ years, and we are well known throughout our Community for offering great & reliable services!


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs on a variety of Diesel Trucks/Trailers/Equipment. Examples: (Isuzu NPR, INTL 4300, Volvo, FTL, Mack / 53' Box Trailers / Etc..)
  • Perform standard and routine preventative maintenance on trucks/trailers (Air Brakes, Chambers, Hoses, PM Reports, DOTs, etc.)
  • Repair/Replace vehicle components. Perform diagnostic test on trucks & carry out the repair.
  • Open and Close written repair orders.
  • Retrieve parts from local vendors and complete a service ticket for billing if needed.
  • Accurately complete reports or forms of documentation in a timely fashion.
  • Troubleshooting & Repairing Electrical / Air Systems / Hydraulics / Mechanical Engine Failures / Etc.
  • Familiar with today's Emissions: DPF/SCR/DEF systems - Ability to Diagnose & Repair as needed (not a requirement) Computer Diagnostics are a plus


Requirements:


  • Minimum of 3-4 years of Diesel Repair Experience or General Engine Repair
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Mechanic must have their own tools
  • Computer diagnostics is a plus (Not required)
  • Heavy lifting of parts may be required at times. Up to 100 pounds
